My husband and I visited here on our last day on holiday in Ireland. We visited here after a gorgeous sunny day on the nearby beach. I opted for smoked salmon and crab platter, the fish was a generous portion and delicious but the salad was virtually non existent. This dish was delicious but not good value as from memory it was €18. My husband opted for mussels and he was so disappointed and could not eat them. The mussels were small but the worst part was the sauce accompanying them, it was tasteless and looked like dirty water. He was so shocked as this was our last meal in Ireland and we had been delighted by our choices in all other places.
We picked this restaurant because of it's stunning location and it does look quaint from the outside. Whilst my fish was good we would not return or recommend this as the food is expensive and the mussels were dreadful. What a pity as this is in a prime location and it is the first place that you hit as you enter the village

Our Paddywagontour bus stopped here for lunch. It was perfect for our family which included 3 children (9,10 and 13). Portions were typically large and we actually took some home with us. It was challenging for the vegetarian child.

Our group of 7 arrived in the middle of the afternoon for a meal and were served quickly. The restaurant was recommended by the taxi driver at the Cliffs of Moher. He said they were known for the best seafood chowder, and it was delicious! The chowder was the best part of the lunch. I would rate it as average-good, but the chowder raised the score to very good.

The restaurant is right across from the old pier, so it's a nice photo opportunity after lunch, too.

Slow service, even though there seemed to be an abundance of staff. Food very mediocre, no atmosphere, and a feeling of the whole place being very tired. Obviously once was a thriving restaurant - no longer! Shame, because it has an idyllic setting on the sea front.

Not overly busy, but had to look for someone to be seated. Had to ask for a highchair three times. Prices of everything but the soup and the roasts were shocking! €12.95 for 6 small crab claws and €24.95 for a seafood platter...ouch! We ordered chips with our main course that arrived as we were finished! Even the baby bowl was disappointing. Didn't bother ordering dessert.
The only saving graces were the view and the waiting staff.
Won't be in a hurry back.
