“Great cottage”
Reviewed 14 August 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We had a great stay at Orchard Cottage for a week. Marie met us and showed us through the cottage - very clean and well equipped with all the necessary appliances, lovely large kitchen area - very comfortable cottage. Maire also left us a hamper with lots of goodies which was very nice. The cottage is off the main road with off-street parking. The village of Ballyvaughan is great, nice bars and restaurants - seafood restaurant is very busy so definitely need to book. There is also a very quaint whiskey bar in town - very popular with a huge selection of whiskies. We had great day trips out to the Cliffs of Moher, Galway, walked around The Burren etc. - plenty to do in the surrounding area. Marie was very friendly and extremely helpful. Would highly recommend this lovely cottage to anyone.

“A quiet retreat - but very handy for Ballyvaughan”

We have stayed in various areas of Clare and knew Ballyvaughan well. This cottage is very well maintained, very well equipped, everything you need is there, and spotless. Although very near to Ballyvaughan - a few minutes will get you to the shops and restaurants - it is far enough off the road, on a cul de sac so no traffic, to be be very quiet. Views to rear of classic Burren landscape, good bird life too. Highly recommended. The owner was very kind too with the essentials on arrival, and a present for our son who had his birthday there.

“Amazing Property base yourself here to discover Co. Clare”

We as a family have been coming to Ballyvaughan for the past 8 years travelling with children ranging in ages from 9 to 18. We have always stayed in this property as it is a fabulous find. The house is a great size, the beds are really comfortable. The house is spotless and the facilities within the house are great. The kitchen is really well stocked with equipment for a self catering holiday. There is a beautiful Garden within the property to enjoy sitting outside. The house is located in an extremely safe location off the road and it is less then a minute walk to the centre of Ballyvaughan. The view from the house is breathtaking. The owner is extremely helpful. I have just booked again for this year.
