My partner and I experienced the joy of a 5 day stay at this wonderful hotel around the St. Patrick's holiday. The hotel was extremely busy when we checked in on the Sunday afternoon, so it was understandable that we had to wait a little while for our room to be prepared. It was well worth the wait however when we were informed that it was the same room that Tiger Woods had stayed in during the Ryder Cup. To say that we were impressed would be putting it mildly. Everything, from the actual size of the room, with its beautiful furnishings, to the huge, floor heated bathroom, exuded style and good taste. So much so that at times we were reluctant to go out.

Our daily breakfast was a challenge as to what to choose from the magnificent array of breads, fruit, yoghurts, cold meats, cheese, smoked salmon etc., and that was before considering the hot choices from the menu.

We dined in the River Room on 2 evenings, and again, the food, along with the well paced service was an experience never to be forgotten. My only gripe here would be the fact that on one evening there was a family with a small baby seated in the main dining room. Since the anti room was also in use, I would have thought it more sensible to seat the family in the smaller room, and fill the main room first. I'm guessing that by the time the main room had filled, the family would have already left. As it turned out the baby was quite well behaved, but it could have proved a spoiler to the evening.

The icing on the cake was the warm and professional attitude of the staff. At every turn we were greeted, not in that awful 'have a nice day' tone, but with real sincerity, by a reception team who seemed to genuinely care for their guests. One example of this was having to move my car to a parking slot having earlier parked 'illegally' due to the car park being full. When I informed the reception staff, they just told me to leave the key with them and they would have it moved. Thank you Audrey and the rest of your colleagues, and for seeing us off at the door upon our final departure. It's those little gestures that can make all the difference.

We make a point of trying out different hotels during our trips to Ireland, but I can honestly say that the K Club is one that we will endeavor to revisit.

It was an average overnighter in the end, as one person or it, a hotel of more style than substance. €200 for a 3 course dinner for 2, not worth it. Big rooms, very little staff on duty, no mini-bar, average experience.

Just fabulous but it is very expensive. No complaints, lovely lovely and special place but maybe theres better value to be had in current economic conditions!
We arrived at reception and nice greeting etc but everyone else seems to have been offered champagne so that was a bit rude I suppose!

Room Tip: All rooms are fabulous, but try to find a deal on net to get extra value maybe or special offer as o...

I stayed a night with my mam here recently. Everything about it was amazing, the interior, the room, the atmosphere (relaxed!) the grounds, and the food. We had lunch and dinner and breakfast the next morning , all of which were perfect. Dinner was particularly special , in the drawing room, which didnt have that bustling restaurant atmosphere, but more like being in someones (beautiful) house. Breakfast was also second to none. I suppose what makes any hotel extra special is the staff though and from the minute we entered the front door, we were welcomed so warm by reception staff, and the gentleman who helped with our bags. All waiting staff were professional, friendly, and accomodating. Of particular note, John, who was in charge of the bar, who gave us our own tour of the beautiful art collections in the hotel, and looked after us very well throughout our stay.

We will definately be returning, hopefully, I would recommend even one night here, to destress.....I went back to dublin as if Id had a week away but without all the airport hassle!!!!

Recently stayed in K Club with my three daughters and can only praise service and attention. Greeted by lovely staff at reception, especially Mairead. Had lovely lunch in Drawing Room, then on to K Spa for appointment for massage at the hands of the most marvellous Mona (absolutely out of this world).
Had dinner in Legends Restaurant (loved the garlic prawns). Faultless service, overseen by Evelyn, who saw to our every needs. We didn't stay in main hotel but in one of the courtyard apartments which suited our visit.

In all, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, made possible by attentive and courteous staff, in particular Audrey.

Lovely place, great food, lovely service, beautiful rooms, fantastic golf. One of the most relaxed five-star resorts we have stayed in. From arrival, the attention of the staff was warm, friendly but not overbearing. We had lunch in the Chinese room which was a beautiful and relaxing place to dine by day. The casual food there was excellent. In the evening, we ate in the river room and the service and food exceeded our expectations. A very memorable meal. The bedroom accommodation was excellent - lovely views of the extensive manicured grounds, beautiful period features, spacious and well appointed bathroom and luxurious linens and towels. I would highly recommend the k club.
