“WONDERFUL WEDDING VENUE”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

Whilst this hotel is not totally 5 star luxury it is the best wedding hotel locstion I have ever experienced. We were married here 23 years ago and my daughter and her boyfriend will celebrate their wedding there on August 21st - please God.

My daughter had a wonderful day, as did all the children. You were all very patient with their exuberance. The food was delicious. All of our guests commented on this. The service was excellent. Everybody we dealt with was so pleasant, helpful and warm. Thanks again for your wonderful professionalism.

The lock was faulty on my room door and did not lock correctly with the result that someone come into my room in the middle of the night while I was sleeping. I had to jump up and shout at them to leave. The staff did not take it seriously and never followed up on this properly even after I made two reports to them. I had a poor sleep with the shock of it all and was very disappointed with staff. A waste of money to stay there, as I was exhausted for working the next day.

Firstly Killaloe what a beautiful place and the view from the hotel are stunning. The hotel is nice, in a good location and the lady who books you in very very helpful. Rooms are nice and clean. We had our evening meal in the bar which was very relaxed and the food was excellent. Breakfast in the morning was also very good. Would love to stay there and in Killaloe for longer but had to come home. Will return

This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel with my family.
The pool is the big attraction for children. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The food is delicious (dinner and breakfast).
Will stay again.
P.S. Would recommend people visit the Brian Boru Heritage Centre which is just over the river and whilst it is small it is very interesting!

My husband and I recently held our wedding in the Lakeside hotel. I can't speak highly enough of the hotel and it's staff and the service we received on the day. Firstly the setting of the hotel is simply idyllic, just beautiful for photos on a wedding day and also a real treat for any guest to stay close to the lake with stunning views and scenery. The ballroom is gorgeous and the tables were set up beautifully with candleabras, fresh flowers and chair covers. The food really was second to none. As with all weddings, there was a big crowd eating together on our day, however service did not suffer at all. Everyone received hot plates of food which were beautifully presented and really delicious. The canapés on arrival and food for the afters was also fab! Every specification we made in the lead up to the wedding was carried out perfectly on the day and our guests raved about the hotel, the food, the service, the rooms and the whole set-up generally! We can't thank Courtney, Ruth, Sinéad, Eoin and all the staff at the Lakeside hotel for everything they did to make our big day so special. We can't recommend the Lakeside enough for any bride and groom looking for their perfect venue, our day really was fabulous and we will never forget it!

As a family we recently stayed at the Lakeside Hotel overlooking the River Shannon and Killaloe.
This is a truly spectacular location with a lovely garden and picnic tables on the hotel grounds to maximise use of the stunning views . The staff were top class in this hotel as were the staff we met everywhere we went in the general area .The rooms were also very clean and spacious and we also got the Bar food which was very tasty and great value .The spirit of Killaloe is a 1 hour boat trip which takes you on the River shannon and Lough Derg well worth doing and only a short distance from the hotel .This is a lovely hotel set in a very scenic area go before everyone finds this hidden gem.
