“Outstanding view with a smile”

The owner chippy is a very friendly lady who has a big welcome for you. Our room was fantastic. It is a bit like a dolls house with an amazing view over looking the bay. The breakfast is excellent and I would certainly recommend here. It's only ten minutes walk to the town with the beach on route

Stayed here last night and was blown away by the premisses which is presented in pristine condition. It is by far the best b&B that i've stayed in and would put alot of 4 star hotels to shame. The rooms were immaculate with breathtaking atlantic views, beds were comfie and linen was of a high standard. Everything about this house is spacious. Breakfast was beautifully presented ,white linen table cloths and napkins, beautiful bone china delph and lovely food served by a really pleasant waitress.Well Done!!

Extremely good value for money and should be your first choice of accommodation if staying in this town!!!

Room Tip: Request sea view

OK, title a bit over the top but I couldn't believe it when Chippy said she had some duff reviews on Tripadvisor.

This is a lovely B&B, with truly beautiful rooms, a wonderful view over Kilkee town and beach and a lovely breakfast. Chippy's fella's a butcher.

Price is reasonable for what you get, location is great for town and Pollocks, hospitality is warm and helpful without being intrusive. Made my wife re-evaluate her anti-B&B bias.

Do yourself a favour and go to Kilkee and stay at the Water's Edge. You'll want to go back. I know we do.

Room Tip: All rooms have sea views. We stayed in Room 5 and it was beautiful and had a wonderful view. 6 would...

Stayed here for one night - wish it could have been longer! Entrance hallway is really impressive and the entire property is beautifully restored and furnished. Our room was large, airy, really nicely furnished and had a huge bay window overlooking the sea and Kilkee bay. The bathroom was spotless, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. The owner was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. Would highly recommend Water's Edge - punches way above it's price in quality accommodation.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 3 - bay window on 1st floor. Rooms 1 & 2 would have same

We were welcomed in a not so friendly way and the room equipment was at the minimum. It didn’t have a TV, water boiler or hair dryer. The view would have been nice, if we were able to see through the dirty and stained windows. The breakfast could have been better; especially the eggs were very liquid. Judging by what was offered to us it was very pricy.

Room Tip: Twin Room with sea view

We stayed in this wonderful B&B when we were in Kilkee for the funeral of a good friend. The clue is in the name; it is at the edge of the Atlantic. The big, welcoming hallway leads to a wide and bright stairway of white oak to the rooms. Our bedroom was clean, bright, and airy. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast room and the huge sitting room have uninterrupted sea views across Kilkee Bay, as do the bedrooms. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and there is also a choice of cereals, muesli, yoghurt and fruit. The rashers of bacon were the best quality; dry-cured and delicious. The smoked salmon was expertly sliced paper thin and the scrambled egg was perfect. With good coffee and tea and home-made brown bread, this was a meal fit for a (hungry) king.
There is private parking at the back of the house; the village of Kilkee is a five-minute walk on a safe footpath and along the prom.
If ever you visit the holiday village of Kilkee with its safe horseshoe beach, do yourself a favour and stay with Ms. Chippy Hickey in the splendid Water's Edge.

Room Tip: Not suitable for anyone with impaired mobility. The rooms are on the first floor and second floor...
