Stayed here for 2 nights, hotel is very central...I think it is the only town centre hotel? Rooms are basic enough but clean. Nice bar & decent breakfast, there is a nightclub in this hotel so I would imagine that might disturb some sleep. Good base to explore the town.

we stayed here last night just gone, we were down in cootehill picking up parts and the weather was pretty bad so we looked for a hotel and farnham was the first we found. great price for town centre, room was cold wen we got there but rang reception and was sorted. food was fabulous, nice and relaxing hotel.there was an 80's disco and it was the best night ever.definetly going back in november for my birthday with a gang. breakfast lovely and served until 11am so can still have a lie in.rooms were lovely, everything u needed was there.could not fault anything, cant wait to go back.

We stayed here on friday night gone by,we had to make an unexpected trip to cavan to visit a sick relative,as we stayed here once before we definitely decided to try to book a room here, we booked literally an hour before arrival and we were availed of a room immediately, we stayed here a few months ago and asked for a top floor room as we had our newborn baby with us, and to our suprise a room was automatically given to us on the top floor as the girl at reception assumed we may have our baby with us again. (a lovely touch we thought). The room was cozy, warm, spotless and the bed was like sleeping on air,and the breakfast was top notch. i must acknowledge the night porter,he was so helpful, courteous and friendly, and is a great asset to the hotel. we only had a short stay this time but we will be back for longer the next time.

I stayed here every week for over 6 months with work. A great friendly hotel in the heart of Cavan with some great food and entertainment - the highlight was having breakfast one morning beside the Donegal Rose.

Room Tip: Newer larger rooms at the back but every room is unique.

We were on a short summer break and we were keen to eat without having to trek around the county looking for somewhere appealing. We had parked in the town; we were really quite happy with a snack in one of the local cafes. On the main street however, there was an inn which seemed to be serving food. We went in and as lunch had long since passed, we were surprised that there was such a selection from the menu. Anything not in front of us at the carvery, could be dished up by the chef in the kitchen. Basically nothing was too much trouble!
The staff were very pleasant and friendly and this added to the atmosphere at the meal. We were surprisingly hungry after all, so we decided on a dessert also. It was sheer divine! Simple apple tart and custard - warm! What could be nicer?
This restaurant - which is part of the hotel - is well worth a visit. It is one of the few places in the area, indeed the country, where one can get an edible meal and be served by friendly staff. A true gem.
