Went for overnight stay at Farnham Estate Hotel to have game of golf. Unfortunately the course was frozen so no golf. However we found our stay most enjoyable. We were very impressed with the hotel - decor, cleanliness, friendliness of the staff. We dined in the restaurant where we found tihe food to be excellent as was the service. The spa is the best around with a superb pool, both indoor and outdoor. This area was spotlessly clean as is not always the case. Would highly recommend this hotel and couldn't really fault it in any respect.

Stayed here for a weekend. The rooms are spacious clean love the seperate shower. Its a very clean hotel. Food is lovely but found the food and drink here very expensive. A bottle of miller is five euro, one vodka and a SMALL coke 7.85. No wounder people are not drinking out now. A large burger and chips 14.50. Staff are very helpful. You go to the spa in your robe provided. It was about 7pm when I went to pool and swam in the pool, the outside part of pool is lovely and big it was about -2 outside and the steam was leaving the pool you could hardly see infront of you, it was lovely. The thermal suite is large and three different types of water provided mint, lemon and cucumber lovely. I did miss a jacussi, as I love being in one. The breakfast has a great varity so good. Really enjoyed my stay.

My self and my boyfriend are just back from staying in the Radisson Blu Estate in cavan. we were just totally blown away by the friendly staff and the incredibly high standard of the hotel throughout.
We had bought a voucher from the Groupon site which was very good value. I have found in some hotels were they do deals on voucher websites that they tend to stick you in a corner and hope you don't bother their full paying guests. This was definitely not the case here.
we had a corner room on the second floor which had beautiful views of the estate, even through the little window by the bath.
For dinner we opted for the 4 course meal which was really delicious. I thought initially that the portions looked tiny but we nearly had to be rolled out of the restaurant. i had the wood pigeon to start and the rib eye steak. Everything was cooked perfectly and the staff were really attentive. Breakfast this morning was also great. There was such a huge range to choose from including so many healthy options like nuts and fruit.
The voucher included a discount for a treatment in the spa so i had a full body Swedish massage which was amazing. The spa is just beautiful with so many different thermal features, including the half indoor half outdoor infinity pool. we went for a swim last night when it was freezing cold outside but the pool was heated so it was really unusual.
We hadn't had a break in quite a while and this was well worth the wait. It was just pure luxury and i'll definitly be going back, hopefully for a longer stay.

Room Tip: we had room 355 which was a triple room. Very spacious and had a feature window beside the bath.

Pleasant stay, room was nice albeit as it was a corner room it had a terrible view practically into the side of the building facing another room which meant having to have the drapes drawn most of the time.

Evening dinner was average, small portions and not brimming with flavour. Buffet breakfast the following morning was good and enjoyable however.

Staff friendly however left at reception a long time waiting on three occasions.

Overall an adequate stay but nothing special.

Room Tip: Avoid corner rooms where the building meets another wing as you will have another room looking into...
