Carleton Village
Reviewed 8 July 2014

We booked into Carleton Village for 1 week and it was excellent. There were 3 children in the group and they all had a great time, they loved the kids club and swimming pool. Very quiet area with no trouble. Staff are all very friendly and helpful the lifeguard Karen managed to get our very nervous daughter swimming :)

Would highly recommend it to anyone, will defiantly be going back.

We have just returned from Carleton following a 1 week stay. 4 adults and 2 kids in a 3 bed villa. Very spacious and comfortable. Well equipped with everything you might need and 5 star for cleanliness. Katrina and Joan were excellent and can't speak highly enough of them. Extra special thanks to Katrina for the warm welcome, DVDs and lollipops. We loved our time there and will definitely be returning next year, no doubt with a few other friends & families with us. The facilities onsite are excellent and the BBQ was a major highlight for us. We did Aura leisure centre, Perks, Foto Wildlife Park & Leahys open farm. Given our time again, we would have went to Leahys twice, it is absolutely fantastic. Matt looked after us so well and wish we went there earlier in the week to allow time for a 2nd visit. All in all, a brilliant holiday in excellent self catering villa and village. Carleton Holiday Village is a must for all families looking to enjoy their time in Ireland. See you all again soon, Ciaran villa 15.

We spent a week at Carleton Village, from the time of making our booking, Niamh was exceptionally friendly & this continued throughout our stay.
Our 3 bed cottage, cleanliness was to a 4star standard, beds comfortable, everything we needed was supplied & plenty of crockery glasses etc..for our al fresco dining every night (yes we had 7 days of glorious sunshine !) Our welcome pack a nice little touch also.
The children loved the playground & the tennis courts & fortunately our last 2 days we got to use the swimming pool & the play gardens, the children had a ball ! The lifeguard was such a lovely girl who was doing her job so well but in a very friendly way with the children.
Fota island half hour drive away.
Lots of nice takeaways Luigi's pizza & Chopsticks !!
For sure, we will return to number 20 !

We stead in Villa 41 it was perfect for a family of 5/6 beautifully laid out and all mods cons well except the Tv ;) If you want a peaceful stay I'd advise booking off peak as we basically had the complex to ourselves. There was lots of things for the kids to do from Tennis courts to a walled garden with an outdoor swimming pool and games. ( walled garden only opens in July/August) The complex is just a 30 minute drive to Fota Island and a 45 minute drive to Cobh, both a must see. All in all we had a great stay and would highly recommend Carleton Village for a Staycation.

Recently myself two kids and two adults stayed rented a house in Carleton. The place was brilliant. Downstairs we had a kitchen with all the basic essentials, a sitting room with a television radio and DVD player. There was also a room with two single beds and a bathroom opposite. Outside was a picnic table. Upstairs there was two bedrooms one which had an en suite and a balcony. There was a high chair, a travel cot and a stair gate so we didn't need to worry about anything. The house was well furnished and very clean. We booked to house three adults a child and a baby but it could of easily housed three more adults. Within the grounds was tennis courts, a brilliant playground and basketball hoops. They also had gardens with badminton, bowls, football goals, basketball hoops, swing ball and even an outdoor heated swimming pool with a lifeguard! It's so family orientated it's fantastic. The only problem is the gardens don't open until twelve and not till till two on Saturdays. I would love if it was open earlier and had some way of blocking the swimming pool off because children are up very early! Apart from that the place was fantastic and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Fota wildlife, leahys farm and a playzone is only about half an hour drive from Carleton. The restaurants are also brilliant. We went to Clancys and the old imperial which were both very enjoyable. When we arrived at the holiday village we were greeted by Joan who was very friendly and had an envelope full of information. We also met Caitriona who was so friendly and very helpful and had lollipops for the children. There was DVDS free of charge and sports equipment. I really couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. It was family orientated, very clean, brilliant service and very good value. I would definitely go back next year.

We stayed there with friends for the june bank holiday weekend. The staff were so nice and helpful. The children enjoyed the tennis courts. The homes were spotless as was the village. I would not hesitate to return.
