You could believe you were in Italy, from what I could make out, the owners are Italian, also those serving were Italian which gave it the authentic feel. Food was quite tasty. Place is small which makes it noisy with children.

have eaten in the capri bay many times and it is always good.Gerard and Honrata always look after the customers very well, along with the other waiters. The menu is quiet extensive so if you can't find something you like, you should be eating in a chipper instead of a restaurant.I usually go for one of the many daily specials, which are always mouthwatering.I have to say from the starters to the mains and then through to desserts, not forgetting the amouse bouchee, and little extras that you get, always is a very enjoyable experience.Keep up the good work, lookin forward to my next outing.

My husband and I were referred to Capri Bay by a waitress at our first choice, a pub that had stopped serving food at nine. That turned out to be fortuitous because instead of our usual pub grub, we enjoyed a very nice, simple Italian meal in a lovely restaurant that appeared to be a choice of locals as well as tourists. Our waitress was perfect, the food was great, and a guitarist added to the atmosphere, bringing back warm memories of our trip to Italy. So, all-in-all it was a wonderful night -- so good, in fact, that we went back the next night, but were disappointed to find that they had been very busy, so had closed the kitchen early. But, I guess that is the price that you pay when you dine late and choose a restaurant where everything is made fresh. This is definitely a place worth visiting -- but don't wait too late!

Food was amazing, proper traditional Italian food cooked and served by Italians. We had the sharing platter which was lots to start and then the Fish platter & seafood pasta to finish. We didn't have room for desert but a complimentary shot of watermelon Ice was a fab finishing touch, will definitely return.

The highlight of our family weekend in Youghal was our reservation at this little eaterie and unfortunately it didn't blow us away. It was a lovely little Italian with a fabulous atmosphere, it was buzzing. Between us (3 adults and 2 kids) we had lobster ravioli, breast of chicken with pepper sauce and sea food linguini. Kids had pizza. We had 2 starters but I can't remember them. Food was nice but wouldn't blow you away. Bland. And actually Granny got the wrong sauce with hers but wouldn't have us say anything to the waiter. Had two deserts, Tiramasu, Yummy and the meille feille, not your traditional just a mess in a bowl. Bit disappointed and 135 lighter but as we Irish do we still tipped. Probably just a bad day at the office.
