We ended our vacation dining at The mid evil dinner. It was a good meal first off, and the entertainment was top shelf. Very talented musicians. The service was prompt. Not too crowded.

Our tour group took part in this feast and it was very entertaining. The performers (singers and musicians) were all extremely talented and quite funny. The evening provided quality entertainment. The food, not so much. All food was eaten with our fingers and did not really stand out in any way. However, the service and entertainment made up for it.

This was a very fun thing to do with our family of 2 adults and 3 children ages 9,12,14. A little pricey, but you do get a fun medieval themed dinner. The food was actually really good, and we did not realize that it was unlimited wine until after we finished the wine on the table. I was glad we booked the night and walked to the castle hotel after enjoying the wine. The evening was fun for all of us, and kept the kids entertained. The best thing was that even though it was sold out, I did not see anyone on their phones. Great to see that everyone was entertained. I was again surprised at the quality of the food, and very glad we skipped lunch and waited for the Feast to fill up.

Well worth it to go. The price is a little high, but the entettainment was terrific. The meal was unusual as you were only given a knife to eat with. But, we managed. We picked up the soup bowl with our hands, the ribs fell off the bone, and main meal, chicked, was easy to cut and eat. There was a mead toast in the great hall, but only wine for dinner; no mead and no beer.

It all began climbing up a steep narrow circular flight of well worn stone steps to the castles reception hall where one was greeted and welcomed with a cup of mead and gentle music before the main event of the evening, the banquet!
Seated on benches at long banqueting tables the nights feasting, entertainment and frivolity began.
The meal of dry bread (no butter), vegetable broth, pork ribs, a chicken breast served with a medley of root vegetables was hardly a banquet as I imagined after paging through many a Asterix and Obelix comic!.
The entertainment was great and the wine flowed at our table. The harp playing was majestic, the singing divine and the castle butler was most entertaining and kept the evening light-hearted and flowing.
A jolly fun evening of medieval play acting that took one back in time.
[be warned if you have a gammy leg as I do going up and down the staircase is hell]
