We had a party of 9 golfers. When I booked the hotel it wasn't clear that it was only a 7 iron from the entrance to Ballybunion and opposite the driving range. Which was handy. It was a 20 min wlak into town or a short taxi ride. The hotel was nice claen and modern. The Irish President had visited the day before. We had a nice meal. Overall it was a good choice if playing golf.

My wife and I stayed two nights during our golfing trip in mid May. Without any doubt, it provided the warm and cozy feel were were looking for after slashing it around the links next door. Owners Aoife and Shamus run a clean tight ship. Our bedroom was spacious and well appointed and the meals were simply fantastic. Perhaps the best feature of our stay was how engaging all the guests and owners became during the late evenings, with everyone participated in the good "craic":.
If your travelling through the Ballybunion area, or planning a golf trip, we would highly recommend Teach de Broc - simple the best!

My husband and I just returned home from 2 weeks of travel thru Ireland. After talking over our wonderful time we feel the need to acknowledge our awesome 3 day stay with Aiofe and Seamus at Teach de Broc. Our accomadations were superior to any other place we stayed and I appreciated how clean and comfortable they were. Aiofe was so helpful and I was made to feel at home while my husband was enjoying great golf. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent and the conversations with Seamus, Aiofe and their son Dermot were so enjoyable at the end of the day. We will be back! If you are planning a golf trip to Ireland, you cannot miss Teach de Broc in Ballybunion. Teach de Broc (home of the Broc family) is located at the entrance and driving range of Ballybunion Golf Club, one of the finest links golfcourses in the World. From your hotel room you have a view on the first holes of both the Old course and Cashen course. A 5 minute walk will bring you to the beach. Aoife and Sheamess are your perfect hosts. Aoife will help you plan your tee times on any the Golf courses in Ireland and Sheamess can give perfect directions so you will not get lost on these sometimes confusing Irish roads. The hotel rooms are spacious and at night you can watch golf in the hotel lobby together with other golf enthusiasts from all over the world. Dinner and breakfast are excellent.

My family and I spent Easter in Ballybunion and after consulting the internet we found that Teach de Broc was open for accomodation and food so we booked in for two nights. This business is family run and the owners live on site which means they are there to welcome one personally, and keep an eye on and manage their business personally. We were presented with a welcome tray of good coffee and home-made scones. Our rooms were large, comfortable and well-appointed on the first floor which is serviced by a lift. There are also two rooms on the ground floor for people who need wheelchair access. Teach de Broc is situated across from Ballybunion Golf Links and adjacent to the Cashen beach so we had some great walks.

We ate in the restaurant both nights as the food was so good on night one. The menu is varied and adventurous while also catering for the person who likes something a little more traditional with a twist!! They make their own breads in house, which are delicious, have their own herb garden and grow as many of their vegetables as possible. Elsewhere, they source as much produce as they can locally; so no buying in bulk from catering companies in this establishment. The service in their lovely dining-room was professional and attentive.

After dinner we had a drink in the lovely cocktail bar which leads on to a heated patio area for the smokers among us!!

Overall a great experience and we will be back.

We visit Teach de Broc usually once a year and, if we are very lucky twice a year, for the last five or six years. Aoife and Seamus always have a great welcome for us and our boys and are most accomodating. In addition to having us as guests, they have also catered for large family gatherings with very little notice, which they always handle in their usual professional manner.
The building is ideally situated in Ballybunion, near to the beach and of course the golf..... far enough away from the bustle of town but should you want a late night out in a bar, Seamus is more than willing to drop you in to town... The decor is luxurious and comfortable and every little detail is catered for. A wonderful family business that goes out of its way to assist you wherever possible. Long may it continue.

I organised a very complex family gathering to hold a memorial for my dad who was from Ballybunion. Aoife and Seamus at Teach de Broc were so helpful, patient, and kind that I felt almost guilty when yet another change to the reservation occurred. The hotel itself is beautiful and is clearly a much loved family business. The decor is understated, relaxing, and comfortable. All the rooms are spotlessly clean as are the bathrooms. The food was amazing - a huge choice of breakfasts, and the family lunch was superb. The hotel is ideally situated for golfers, but also for non-golfers. It is not too far from town to walk although the weather can be bracing in this part of Ireland. I would highly recommend this hotel for all types of gatherings - golfing, walking, business, or, as in my case, a family gathering. It was fabulous
