“Bally Bunion's Best”
Reviewed 5 September 2012

If you're looking for a place to stay near Bally Bunion, look no further than The 19th Lodge. This is the place Tom Watson uses when he come to play links golf. The staff is an absolute blast and the breakfast is the best I've had to date while in Ireland.

If you have the chance to meet James and Mary (the owners) you're guaranteed to have an great time and excellent service.

I absolutely recommend and will be back soon!

Room Tip: Try the Tom Watson Suite upstairs!

We stayed here recently and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Located only a few minutes walk from Ballybunion Golf Course (we're not golfers but I've heard enough to know that it is probably one of the best links courses in the country!), and from the beautiful Ballybunion beach. The staff were great also and helped in every way possible to make our stay that bit more memorable!

James and Mary Beasley provide a friendly, accommodating and covenient location to enjoy Ballybunion GC.. The rooms were well above the usual Irish standard with modern bathrooms

They provided us with early breakfasts to allow us to get to our 7AM teetimes. They arranged two fine dinners in town-exceptional hosts

Mary can also assist with teetimes if you plan early (9 months in advance). The 19th Lodge is a few hundred yards from Ballybunions clubhouse

Room Tip: All the rooms are well above usual Irish expectations

Mary and James always make us feel welcome
Rooms are big, spacious and well appointed. I am also a big fan of the hearty breakfasts.

Location is fantastic for golfers, right beside the driving range and the golf courses but don't miss an opportunity for a morning walk on the beach either.

You won't be disappointed if you choose this for your stay in Ballybunion!

James and Mary, the proprietors of the 19th Lodge, could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Located a 5 minute walk from the famous Ballybunion golf course, this small hotel has comfortable rooms including large beds and bright, modern bath rooms. A coffee lover who needs a large mug in the morning, the quality of the coffee served in the breakfast room made me yearn for Starbucks. We do recommend this lodge to anyone who wants to experience the warmth of the Irish first hand.

It is all about comfort and the highest quality service at the 19th Lodge and that is why I have continually returned to Mary and James Beasley's for the last six years! There is nothing you cannot ask of them whether it is special travel, golfing, dining or sight-seeing arrangements or emergency situations (one of the guests had medical issues and they arranged special care with doctors and pharmacies in the land of socialized medicine). As our golf group has traveled Ireland extensively, we always go back (best breakfast, special hospitality, comfortable setting, convenience and reasonably priced). I wholeheartedly give the 19th Lodge my highest and most sincere recommendation!!!

There is a reason that the 19th Lodge is the number one ranked Bed and Breakfast in Ballybunion. From the minute you arrive you are treated like you are part of the Beasley family. The place has it all! The rooms are spacious and spotless, the location can’t be beat and in a land that is known for friendly people the Beasley family is tops. I almost forgot the breakfast! Freshly made when ordered! I loved the Full Irish Breakfast! Simply put this is the finest Guest House in Ireland. By the way Céad míle fáilte means "one hundred thousand welcomes". By the time we had to go we were the ones who were offering one million thanks! Sláinte Mary and James....we are already looking forward to our next visit with you!
