The Tides is a bit far from town but the service and rooms far exceeded any other B&B. John, the owner, went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Try the pancakes at breakfast they were delicious! I would highly recommend the Tides if you find yourself in Ballybunion!

We stayed 3 days in July and we can't say enough great things about "The Tides." We were impressed by how clean, spacious, and comfy our room was. Our host David and Doreen delivered, and the breakfast was top rate...try the pancakes!! A must stay!

We stayed in room 3 with our 6 year old and couldn't have been happier. The room was beautiful and so was the service! We were able to gaze at stars through the sky light together at night and enjoy the amazing view from our window during the day. The room was very spacious for the three of us, well presented and immaculately clean. We had breakfast in the morning and the food was delicious! We will definitely be coming back to stay the next time we're in Ballybunion.

Brilliant service, friendly and professional staff. You would be hard pressed to find accommodation like it in a 5 star hotel. Never a problem arranging a round of golf at the last minute and only five minutes drive to the beach, what more could you ask for.

What a team! David makes sure to convey their guests' wishes and Doreen fulfills them at breakfast each morning. David went the extra mile when we left property behind. He tracked us by phone and ensured prompt postal delivery of our goodies at no cost to us. We owe them another visit next time around.

David & Doreen were the quintessential hosts. Their guest house is immaculate, spacious, and they made us truly welcome. The breakfast was served by David and cooked, I presume, by Doreen. It was delicious...! The lounge area for guests is most accommodating; with a big screen TV and a modern massage chair in which to relax. We had to get back to Tralee to catch a train and even though we had bus tickets David insisted we take a ride with their daughter who was going in for a dental visit. If ever we find ourselves in Ballybunion again we will definitely stay at the Tides. It was simply sublime.

We had a lovely stay at The Tides Guesthouse at the beginning of our week in Ireland, what a great intro to the The Emerald Isle and its people. Good position for golf, good rooms, excellent breakfast and a host who nursed the guests just right and created a relaxed and warm athmosphere.
