The hubby and I have just got back from a 5 night stay at the Harbour Masters B&B for our 1st anniversary. The owners Grainne & Jim made it really special, even down to a candle in each of our tomatoes for brekkie on the day of our anniversary!! The house and garden is beautifully kept and our room was really comfortable with lovely views of the Grand Canal and surrounding fields. The breakfast's were delicious and big! I would highly recommend Grainne's home made soda bread which was in abundance every morning.

There is a great pub in the village just a few strides away called McIntyres which is really friendly and had great music on at the weekend, we were made very, very welcome. A five minute drive takes you into the town of Banagher where there are a few more pubs and shops etc., but would say Flynn's bar is a must, for the welcome and some seriously nice food.

Overall i would highly recommend the Harbour Master's for a very laid back, relaxing (& romantic) holiday in a brilliant location with some seriously friendly people. We will definitely be going back next year.......can't wait!

The setting is gorgeous and out-of-the-way, but near enough to some wonderful sights to be convenient. Grainne was a great hostess and it was the best breakfast we had in all of Ireland! Shannon Harbour is a beautiful village and this B&B was excellent.

A beautiful house and nice rooms. The owner was relatively friendly & it was nice sitting by the harbor at sunset. The only issue is that the twin room had a shower that was not closed off except for a shower curtain which meant that me & my travel companion had to take turns leaving the room so we could shower.

The Harbour Masters House couldn't have been better. A lovely comfortable room, great breakfast. Facility to make tea/coffee whenever you wanted. Grainne is such a friendly, kind lady; she told us of a really beautiful place to visit that we hadn't previously heard of, and we had just the BEST time.

We stayed one night and had a very comfortable room overlooking the waterway, Grainnie was very welcoming and very helpful.
We had an excellent breakfast, our only negative point was the shower room was small
and needed some updating, saying that, this is a lovely old house and you do have to fit bathrooms in somewhere!
This is a very nice B&B which we would recommend.

We were in Ireland for 8 nights and this was my favorite. It was quaint and absolutely wonderful. Grainne was very nice and pleasant, the room had a lovely view. A very comfortable sitting room with internet access.
I would go out of my way to stay here again!
Thank you for the experience. The food was great, for Irish food.
