“An oasis in Blessington”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 September 2012

The Grangecon is always a treat and is fantastic for breakfast, lunch or a snack.
They specialise in healthy home made food and all baking is done onsite. Their yests bread and other bakery items can by purchased to bring home and the bread toasted is particularly divine.
Their mayonnaise is freshly made and it makes the difference to a sandwich or salad.
Come here hungry as the portions are very substantial and you will want to leave room for the Pavlova with fresh cream.. yummmm

“Nice scone and brownie”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2012

Called in to this lovely cafe this morning. A little gem. We had coffee (only complaint small cup) a scone with cream and I ate a brownie heated with cream, devine. Would definately go back if in the area. All other food looked great.

“A gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2012

We've been going to the Grangecon Café regularly since its early days when it was still located in Grangecon. In all that time we've never had a bad meal; each visit has been a pleasure.

The café is situated in an old school building. Its high ceiling, muted grey/blue tones and artwork on the walls create a sense of calm. The staff are always friendly and enthusiastic.

What makes it so special is the great quality of the food. Nothing cheffy, simply wholesome food prepared with well-sourced ingredients (in many cases organic). While it may be more expensive than other establishments, it quite simply surpasses them. Freshly baked foccacia and Gubbeen cheese served with homemade chilli jam and salad leaves, baked St. Tola goat's cheese with toasted hazelnuts and roast peppers, sausage rolls, spinach and feta pie, lemon tart, chocolate cake, scones...

The Grangecon Café is run by people who clearly care about providing great food consistently. Do visit - you won't be disappointed!
