Fantastic accommodation, food, entertainment, hospitality! Can't fault the harbour inn on any level. Our room was in very very good order, spotless! Bed was so comfortable & we were able to have the heating on in the room - with control of the thermostat we could adjust this to suit ourselves. The bathroom was immaculate & huge! Powerful shower & all toiletries supplied. Plenty of wardrobe space & chest of drawers for clothes. Vanity table with mirror for us ladies. Hospitality tray came in handy for that early morning cup of tea.We had our evening meal in the restaurant and we weren't disappointed - it was delicious. A varied menu to suit all tastes & not too badly priced either. We stayed at the restaurant that evening to enjoy a few drinks & the entertainment which was really good, a duo singing & playing guitars. The harbour inn is just on the outskirts of Buncrana however we found no need to go into town when everything you need of an evening is laid on. We had breakfast in the morning & again it was very tasty, a full range of items, toast, cereal, yogurt, & of course - the full irish. I was really impressed with this accommodation, the location, the lovely decor of the rooms & breakfast room as well as the bar/restaurant which was really inviting with a lovely log fire. I have to also mention the staff, all of them very friendly, obviously enjoying their work. I would definately recommend this accommodation & hope to visit again.

Stayed in Hotel on a recent business trip.Rooms are clean and comfortable,it's a little like a Motel in that each room opens onto a courtyard. Rooms are not over furnished, but there is excellent Free Wi Fi which is important these days. The evening food was OK,served in the bar area but happy enough. The breakfast was very nice, but the general welcome and TLC from the staff is worthy of special mention,it was first rate. Good value for money hotel, and an excellent stop over location for anyone visiting the Inishowen Peninsula and driving The Inishowen 100 tourist route.

My partner and I went to The Harbour Inn for a relaxing break and that is exactly what we got.
It was situated just opposite the beach and its approx a 10 min walk from Buncrana. The room was spacious and clean. You do not need to leave The harbour Inn as they have a bar which serves gorgeous food and there is music on a Saturday.
There a full coeliac menu at both breakfast/ dinner and lunch which pleastantly surprised me as I usually find it difficult to eat out being a coeliac.
A wonderful find. A big thanks to the staff for making our stay such a joy as every single member of staff was helpful and happy.
We will definitely be making another visit in the future

Myself, my husband and our 3 kids aged 8,5,2 stayed in the harbour inn for 2 nights in august '12. We were very impressed with our family room which was 1 room with a double and single and then double doors through to another room with 3 single beds!! Breakfast consisted of cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc and order cooked breakfast of you choice. The staff are very friendly. The hotel is on the outskirts of the town but this wasnt a problem. We had a lovely couple of days in this hotel and in Buncrana itself. We will definitely return.

We were attending a wedding in the nearby Inishowen Gateway Hotel and decided to stay here. We got a lift to the hotel but walked back, only took 7-8minutes!

On arriving at the Harbour Inn, check in was very quick and member of staff escorted us to our room and showed us how to work electric etc! Very nice of her!
Rooms were big and spacious, clean, with a good shower!

Breakfast was very good with a good supply of cereal, yoghurt and fruit. Then we ordered a full Irish breakfast which was very well presented and tasty!

Excelllent value for money and staff were all more than helpful, welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended!

I have stayed in this Hotel for the past 2 summers while in Donegal for the Ballyliffin Pro-am golf event.
The Hotel is in a great location just outside the town and across the road (50m) from the beach on the shores of Lough Swilly.
The rooms are very comfortable with great beds for a sound nights sleep.
The Showers are fantastic at full power they would nearly take the skin off your back none of the dribbles that come out of some hotel showers.
The Breakfast in the morning is really good with a full choice of cereals and fruit and then on to the full Irish with Sausages, Bacon, Pudding, Mushrooms, beans and eggs -top class.
We booked a twin room that set us back €35 each - great value.
On our second morning we were to leave before breakfast but the staff left us out cereals, fruit and milk to get us going for the day and they let us check out late so we could get a shower and a change before heading back to Dublin - first class and very much appreciated.
The Pub attached to the hotel is very nice and cosy with a good atmosphere. A Taxi will bring you to Buncrana for €5.
We will be back to this hotel every year as it suits our needs perfectly.
Highly recommend.......
