“Great base for golfing across Donegal”
Reviewed 15 April 2013

Six of us on this trip were pleasantly surprised with the ample space and additional beds in all of the rooms.Staff were so pleasant and helpful throughout our stay and in true Donegal tradition 'nothing is a bother' Value for money , would have no problem recommending the Harbour to similar size golfing groups.

Room Tip: Sea View adds to the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel.

The hotel is a bit far from the city center for walkers. There is a nice beach just across the road. Scenery is great.
The room was huge, comfortable and tidy. Restaurant and pub is good and the staff is also very helpful.

What an exellent hotel, there was ten of us stayed for the weekend and from the minute we arrived we know that we had selected the right hotel, the staff where so friendly, polite and helpful, the rooms where very spacious and clean, the food was exellent, and at a reasonable price, we have stayed at several hotels and the overall opinion of all of us was the harbour inn is one of the best we have ever stayed in, we would like to thank all the staff for thier hard work in making our stay great, We would recomened this hotel and give it a rating of 100% plus.

Room Tip: All rooms are good

Our 2 night stay at The Harbour Inn was so enjoyable. The receptionist showed us to our room which was very spacious, immaculately clean and had a superb sea view. The bathroom was spotless with lots of towels and plenty of hot water. The staff ensured our stay was comfortable and welcoming with a warm turf fire, attentive service, good food and great craic.

Sampled the early bird menu at The Harbour Inn recently. It was great value for money at €12.95 for two courses & three for €15.95. The restaurant wasn't too busy when we arrived & we were delighted to get a table beside the open fire, very cosy. I had the Bruschetta starter which was cooked with fresh ingredients & lasagne. The chicken bang bang was also very tasty and the champ & chips side orders were also cooked to perfection. The only downside to our visit was that as the meal progressed the restaurant became more busy & all of a sudden service disappeared under the pressure. After waiting 20 minutes trying to order dessert we finally gave up & went to pay our bill. We were really disappointed as we were looking forward to trying one of the delicious desserts on offer that day. Also, the table wasn't properly cleaned & still had drink stains from the previous customers. Overall the atmosphere is relaxing & cosy and is worth a visit.
