Frank McGuinness was born on 29th July 1953 in Buncrana, and lived in this house, at No. 3 Maginn Avenue, just off the main street. He is probably best know for his plays "The Factory Girls" and "Beware the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme". I spoke to a local, who told me that The Factory Girls was based on a local shirt factory, and that he got his inspiration from his sister, who worked there, and used to tell him stories from work, which he wrote down.
