We stayed in Lahinch our first two nights in Ireland on a recommendation from a Trip Advisor member (over Doolin). The Atlantic Inn is right on the main street in Lahinch, about a block from the beach. The hotel has a bar & restaurant and there are several restaurants/pubs along the street and across the street. We were a family of 5 (3 children) so we asked for a family room. They put us in a large room for four and added a rollaway bed which was fine for the kids. The hotel played music nightly so it was loud at night but the music stopped around midnight and then it was quiet. The room was clean, not fancy but fine for us. There were a few egg choices for breakfast, along with the traditional Irish. After the first morning we just asked for a plate of a few different things rather than 5 complete breakfasts and then we ate from that, instead of throwing a lot away. We did not eat dinner or lunch in the restaurant (the breakfast room was on the other side) but the food did look good. We went to the bar one night and listened to the music. Each night they had a different band/singer and they played mostly covers but each night both sang "Country Roads"! Ireland did look a bit like West Virginia in Clare so maybe there is a kinship!
Lahinch is a really pretty town. It is close to the Cliffs of Moher and we stayed there because there was more to do than in Doolin once you get off the ferries.
They had an email address but they never responded so I ended up calling them directly - I actually first called the Atlantic Hotel but they had no room so they transferred me to the Shamrock Inn next door.
The hotel has a very small parking lot in the back which is gated and closed during the night. We were able to park one night and had to find street parking the next night although there aren't a lot of spots behind the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for value and an in-town location.
