“One of our favorite places go stay in Ireland!”
Reviewed 14 September 2013

We happened to luck into this really nice bed & breakfast place. We had stopped at another place we had chosen, but the lady there was somewhat rude, and we left. Driving in the dark, we just happened to see the sign on the outskirts of town. The rooms were huge, and the food and atmosphere were second to none. It was an easy walk to town for dinner and shopping. Edel made us feel right at home. There cannot be a better place go stay when seeing the cliffs!

Room Tip: An easy walk to town for food and shopping

My husband and I stayed at Craglea Lodge with our three teenage children for two nights. We had two rooms that were both very large. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Short walk to town and beach. Lahinch is a great town with a number of pubs to choose from for dinner. It is a lovely location for touring the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. Can catch a ferry in a nearby town to the Aran Islands. Lahinch is also a wonderful place for golfing, surfing and going to the beach. Edel is a wonderful hostess. She recommended an amazing hike of the Cliffs of Moher that was a highlight of our trip. She is also related to half the town and has nice recommendations for dining, shopping etc. The variety of foods at breakfast was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again.

We feel so fortunate to have found Craglea Lodge. Edel welcomed our family with warmth, our room was modern, beds comfortable and everything was clean and fresh. Breakfast was terrific too. We can't say enough about Craglea - would give them 6 stars if we could, which I wouldn't say about any other B&B experience. Some places you feel a bit like you are in someone's space, other feel like a business. This was the perfect balance of welcoming warmth and having your own space. Stay here. Really.

Stayed here during South of Ireland Golf Championship, excellent accommodation, there is room for parking - takes a bit of manoeuvring, but OK.
Adel is an excellent hostess, pays great attention to detail, and importantly makes you feel welcome. Drago , Adel's dog, always makes sure you are welcome too!
Breakfast everyday is freshly cooked, and the buffet table well stocked. Soda bread, made freshly, was always on the table, as were the excellent scones on the buffet table.
The room I had was spacious and well furnished, with a decent sized en-suite, and the bonus of a sea view.
Craglea is only a short walk to Lahinch centre and the beach, the golf course is about a ten minute walk.

We stayed at Edel's lovely b&b for 3 nights...the longest that we stayed anywhere on our 10 night stay in Ireland. We loved our family room and enjoyed waking up to see surfers! The room was nicely decorated and the beds very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and I loved the fact that Edel offered smoked salmon and scrambled eggs! We all enjoyed spending some time with Draco, Edel's Labradoodle! We were missing our own dog and Draco gave us our doggie fix! We all highly recommend this spot if you plan to be in Lahinch!

My granddaughter and I stayed at Craglea Lodge in May and couldn't have asked for a better location and host! The view from our room was picture perfect with the sun setting out over the water at 10:30PM! Just a short walk to the town where we enjoyed dinner at Kenny's Pub and watching the surfers at the beach. Large, clean comfortable bedroom and bath. Delicious breakfast. Would highly recommend Craglea Lodge!
