We were staying at another hotel in the area but decided to have an evening meal at this hotel . i would imagine the gentleman who served us had been at the hotel for quite sometime he seemed to know most of the bar clients. He showed us 3 menus and told us we could select from any one of them , we choose the bar menu .The food was simply delicious the waiter asked us on several occasions if we were happy with our food. It was very busy in the bar but he was well able to cope with all the demands. We noticed people were checking in at the hotel even as late as 7pm in the evening this he told us was due to the august bank holiday. The hotel seems to be a very popular place very reasonable in price and if all staff are like the gentleman who served us i can only imagine the hotel is a very popular one.

Room Tip: a beautiful setting great friendly staff loved the area and will return

Had a 3 course meal couple of days ago. Meal was lovely but there were cobwebs and spiders on the Windows and ceilings, which wasn't very nice. Also the Windows needs a bit of cleaning.

Came back in today for some lunch but no one came to take my order for about 15 minutes so I left.

Service needs improvment and the restaurant needs deep cleaning.

Well for starters...what a location...obviously when the weather is good it is fabulous...this was the case when I was here recently. The rooms were all facing onto the Fjord and all had a small but adequate balcony, with the doors open it was a beautiful view. Food was super and reasonably priced and the brown bread at breakfast was gorgeous. You can purchase the bread...just make sure to put your order in the day before and you can also get the recipe if you feel like making it yourself. Staff were all very friendly especially in the bar. We will be back. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: Make sure you go for a seaweed bath next door...you get a discount for being a guest in the hotel...

This is a very functional hotel for a one-night stay. Room was basic but spacious & shower was the best in our holidays in Ireland. Breakfast was good but quality of food not so good (salmon was really greasy). The view from the hotel room really beautiful. Both managers were very helpful & welcoming. Only negative: the barmaid not at all service-oriented - we went elsewhere for our drinks.

Room Tip: Even although the front rooms are looking onto the road it's not noisy at night and so worth it...

Just returned from our first visit to Leenane Hotel. We stayed three nights- the hotel was very busy- and we really enjoyed our stay. Food was excellent- the dinner menu offered a good choice and was very well presented. Friendly staff and lots of happy customers....many on return visits. Well done to all at the Leenane Hotel- hope to return next year.
