Dined here with friends on Friday night. Having grown up in the area I always passed it by and never gave it a second glance. When friends suggested it I said why not ! So glad I did, from the moment we arrived until we left we felt we were the only customers in there, having had the handwritten menu explained to us in great detail we quickly made our choice. I started with a goats cheese and rhubarb quiche followed by sirloin steak cooked to perfection with a beautiful peppercorn sauce. Dessert was divine with a layered selection of rhubarb, cream, crushed biscuit and strawberries. This was all washed down by a bottle of ' Touraine ' Sauvignon blanc. The menu was excellent value at €24.95 for 3 courses. I will definitely be returning.
