“Do they want lunchtime customers?”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2013

I have been to this pub many times over many years but not for a while. This week I called in hoping to get lunch. No other customers to be seen, no staff to be seen but can hear sound of money being counted. Sit in bar for about 10 mins waiting to be served, female staff member appears and says "What do you want?"
I asked for our drinks and these were served. Asked if they were serving food today ( as they used to) - response - "NO". In a bid to stay polite but find out when I might be able to get any food, I asked if they only served it in the summer. Response this time - "We haven't done food for a year".
Retreated to seat and drank the beer which sadly had not been well kept and was barely drinkable.
Maybe it was just a bad day - shame.

“No food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2013

We have been to the Harp over the last few years and have really enjoyed beer, the pub, the views and the basic pub grub during the week!
However, visited today to be told that they no longer serve food, What a shame, not even a sandwich - Not only not sensible for a pub on a good path, frequented by many walkers, in terms of customer service, but also what a wasted business opportunity - they cannot be interested in their customers!

Not likely to go back.

“Cup of Tea on Boxing day!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 October 2012

Went for a drive on Boxing Day afternoon when the men had gone to the football. Decided to try to find the Harp which I remember form years ago - although I'd never been inside. We just fancied a cup of tea and we were privided with one and sat and chatted in a cosy corner of this real pub! Lovely!

“What a location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2012

The approach road isnt too good and the building is small and ancient, but the atmosphere and location are great. Sip a drink and gaze over the marshes- marvellouse way to spend the odd hour
