An hour after the wonderfully warm and cheerful welcome by Natalie we had relaxed away from the stresses of normal, everyday life.
The windmill is a little haven with many thoughtful touches. It's chic, sophisticated decor creates a tranquil space where we immediately could unwind.
Close by (in walking distance) a friendly pub and a short drive away a fantastic spa.
Natalie could not be more accomodating and they have created a space that is Amazing, impressive, relaxing.... there are insufficient superlatives to describe this wonderful hideaway.
Thanks to Natalie and Steve. We arrived as guests and left as friends.
See you soon.
To quote my other half who I had booked this as a secret getaway for, "Can we just live here?" sums up how we both felt about our stay.
From the moment I inquired about booking via email to Natalie she was so helpful and pleasant to arrange everything with. She offered lots of information about the local area and made the whole booking process incredibly easy.
You can tell that Steve and Natalie are passionate about their accommodation from all the little details they include and the outstanding appearance in and out, I couldn't stop taking photos, even in the pitch black of our first night!
A walk to the local pub by foot was ever so straight forward, especially when you have a handy torch left for you in the top drawer of the bedside table, this and many other little extras just kept surprising us throughout our stay and made our anniversary so special.
We can't wait to come back, thank you so much for everything.
The Windmill is incredible. Natalie was so kind and thorough with all the little extras, we had such a lovely time.
With gorgeous fittings and furnishings, amazing views, underfloor heating, surround sound in every room and complimentary spa toiletries we didn’t want to leave.
You will not regret choosing to stay here.
We had a short stay at The Windmill Suffolk, but WOW what an experience! The Windmill itself was beautiful and luxurious, no expense spared on quality, from the exquisite comfortable bedrooms to the funky, cosy Pod on top, with views over the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Every little detail was thought out from the welcome package of essentials to the high end toiletries, bathrobes, slippers and lots of little extras. Natalie and Steven made you feel so welcome and were on hand in case you needed anything. Well located for surrounding villages, it really was an amazing get away, which we thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely look forward to going back and for much longer next time!
The moment you enter The Windmill you are enveloped in sumptuous luxury. Natalie & Steve have put so much thought into what their guests might like that you feel at home immediately. Attention to detail
Is second to none and the little extras and treats were very much appreciated. The double aspect views from the 'Pod' on the top floor are beautiful and it's such a cosy and comfortable place to relax in (wine fridge on this floor is most handy too!). I am so pleased that a random internet search threw up this gem and can't wait to come back. Thank you Natalie and Steve
Having just returned from a two nights stay here, my back hurts from having to shoehorn my fiancée out!
From the secluded, serene location, to the well planned, opulent interior; Natalie and Steve have anticipated for- and pulled off- every one of your hearts desires.
The Windmill is better than perfect and we will definitely be returning (without the padlocks to barricade ourselves in, as per the missus' bright idea!).
Thank you Natalie and Steve!
There is something about the windmill that even though it is a truly luxurious retreat it is homely and welcoming too. This is probably down to all the little extra touches and the warm greeting from Natalie. We immediately felt relaxed and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The furnishings and bedding are of a high quality and make for the best night's sleep. We had takeaway fish and chips from the local pub and an Indian in Lavenham. Bury St Edmunds is lovely for a stroll round it's many shops and cafes and the cathedral. If you are looking for something different for a special treat you will not go wrong with a stay at the windmill. The hosts have thought of everything. We hope to back again in the very near future.
