We stayed only one night in this historic hotel on a short hiking trip to the Jura. It's not that easy to find but that's because its location is so perfect. If you're looking for tranquility and nature and beautiful views over the Jura hills - go to the Hotel La Chaux-d'Abel! You'll also find friendly hosts, a good home-cooked meal and a delicious breakfast. The rooms are rather old and simple but nicely made up and there's everything you need (and you don't need a TV, do you?). During our stay there were only two other rooms occupied so noise was not an issue. I can imagine, though, that in the peak season (with lots of families in the house) it might get a bit crowded and noisy. There's a big garden, a playground and lots of space to run around outdoors.
