To begin, i just had to write a review on this holiday park as when we had booked, it made be a bit wary about staying here as I couldn't find anything myself.. And it's a lovely place!!
Had an absolutely amazing stay at the granary house in Aberdwylan Holiday Park. 14-18 April 2014.
When we arrived at the park, we were amazed to how quiet it was. Seen a few people walking their dogs, very polite and friendly.
I did have to walk around the camp (it's not big) to find the gentleman I needed to speak to in order to check in. I cannot put in to words how lovely, helpful and cheerful the man on site was on Monday when we checked in. I didn't have a chance to catch his name but he was absolutely lovely and couldn't have been any friendlier.. And he had only been working on site a few weeks. He checked us in quickly and showed us around the amazing granary house. (We were amazed to be staying in such a big house as we originally didn't know what to expect and just booked blindly a few days away - thinking it was a small cottage!) He showed us around, checked we were happy and left us to it.
The house was beautiful. Absolutely huge.. Especially for the two of us.. We were overwhelmed.
With four bedrooms upstairs - two doubles, a twin and two singles (I think) - a beautiful bathroom with a lovely bath and shower. Then downstairs a huge living room and a very modern kitchen/diner. Door in the kitchen opening to the huge fenced garden, and patio doors in the living room also opening out. We didn't really get the most out of the garden as we were usually out. Perfect for families with children - seating area outside and large grassed area for the children to play.
We did have a little wander around the campsite, it was small and it was lovely. Very quiet. A heated pool on site (outdoor) a few lodges, and caravans. There was a laundrette on site and a small games room to keep children entertained on rainy days. A lovely place to bring children and dogs. Lovely walks with beautiful views. The nags head pub about 10 minutes walk (if that) does beautiful food - do not order a starters... Starter was quite big and main meals are also rather big so I couldn't eat all my meal. Chips are beautiful home made chips. Small town of Cenarth not far away and Cardigan is definitely worth a visit too.
If your thinking about staying here then I would definitely recommend. We are definitely going back but as it's just the two of us, maybe the lodge is better suited. Felt like a king and queen in the house with our very own drive. Lovely.
If anyone has any questions they would like to ask about the holiday park, please do not hesitate. I'm more than happy to answer any questions. Lovely place.
Huge thank you to the man on site who checked us in. Very helpful.
