Perfect in every way. Immaculate housekeeping, beautiful decor, a warm welcome and much help and guidance throughout. Super breakfasts and plentiful luxury, with thoughtful added extras. We were sorry to leave. The only downside is that dinner is not offered, but we loved the Crab & Lobster Inn nearby.

We had room #1 and were very pleased. Room and bath were spacious, bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent. Jeffery and Sara were wonderful host/hostess; very helpful with anything we needed. We stayed at Landseer while participating in Goodwood Festival of Speed and, since Goodwood made the arrangements, we did not really know what we were getting until we arrived, but were very happy with our accommodations and the price.

My husband and I stayed at Landseer House on our trip to attend the Goodwood Revival. We arrived later than expected and were met by Sarah and Geoffrey, who offered us tea and aquainted us with our self-catering cottage, just steps from the main house. They kindly made calls for us and recommended a lovely spot for dinner. Breakfast was marvelous -- full English, as well as a large offering of cereals, yogurts, fruits, etc. Our cottage was spacious, with a small, full kitchen, including washer and a private garden.

We stayed for 5 nights and would recommend this establishment to anyone. Sarah and Geoffrey are fascinating, warm hosts and have two wonderful dogs, Ella and Bertie who were most entertaining. The area is beautiful, with many local attractions and is it quiet and peaceful. We would both happily go back again!

Sarah and Geoffrey were most accommodating. The cottage was great for our stay during the Goodwood Revival. Give both Bella and Bertie a pat for us on your visit!

I totaly agree with "HelenHenderson", this place HAS character... no ikea furniture in there for sure. We originally wanted to stay at the Goodwood Park Hotel but after reading the reviews and experiencing rude staff over the phone when booking, I changed my mind at the last minute (the day before) and booked 2 rooms at Landseer House.

The House itself is gorgeous (see photos).

This place is a gem... I was surprised not to find many reviews on here. The owner emailed us directions and it was easy to find, at the end of a quiet and peaceful lane. The house is 7 minutes drive from the beach and Chichester.
Landseer house is a perfect base for Mithrill race course and Goodwood (I had booked a driving experience for my husband)

The rooms are comfortable and the house is beautifully furnished, decorated and tasteful piece of art scattered around the house. My in-laws and I loved it. One of the room is very spacious and I would definitely recommend booking it if it is available. The other room was a bit on the small side but beautifully appointed (TV was a bit small too just behind the door but this just a small complaint as there is plenty to do in the area). We were asked the night before what we wanted for breakfast (which is understandable for a small place to organise themselves and avoid wastage). They sourced local mushroom to cater my vegetarian needs (small complaint is that breakfast is served too early but I think this can be arranged if you speak to the host). The cooked breakfast was delicious.

The host was welcoming and allowed us to use the garden for a picnic.

They have two small self-contained cottages as well opposite the main house and these are good value to rent for the week. I definitely recommend Landseer house.

Hope you'll have a nice stay if you decide to stay there (chances are, you will)

On another note: there is this beautiful shop in Chichester called through the looking glass. If you like house decorating this is the place for you. They have a great selection of furniture and deco stuff for your house.

We stayed for 3 days in this lovely property's self catering cottage. All we needed and more with local pubs and walks a few minutes away and the beach 10 minutes.
Very friendly owners that supply on demand everything you need to have a delightful time.
