We've just had a lovely two day stay at the Crab And Lobster, which we used as a base to explore Chichester and enjoy West Wittering beach.

We stayed in a standard room (room 3) which is very well appointed. Not overly spacious but more than enough for us. The room is stylish, has a good sized modern bathroom, a very comfy double bed, fridge, fan, dvd player, flat screen TV and a good view of the harbour.

We ate in the restaurant both nights of our stay and ate breakfast there both mornings. The food was of a very high standard and the service was both efficient and friendly.

Overall the stay was very enjoyable and we'll worth the price we paid.

This place will never score highly for 'value' but if you are willing to pay for good quality, this is the place. I have always found the staff very friendly and the space is comfortable. Food very tasty and well-prepared indeed. As a bonus, you are right on the edge of the jewel that is Pagham Harbour RSPB Reserve.

Room Tip: We ate here, so no comments on rooms and no chance to score food!

Had lunch today at the crab and lobster and first impressions were very nice, that is until you speak to the staff. Curt is an understatement especially the girl running the front of house who was very abrupt not friendly at all and it seemed we were obviously beneath her as we wanted to eat in the establishment. We put it down to someone obviously having a bad day but then realising every staff member was equally rude did not know how to smile or be polite either.
The food was very good not amazing but very good and very fresh and £85 for two people for lunch both with a starter and main with a glass of red for one and a soft drink for the other didn't seem unreasonable. But the rude service from start to finish did spoil the meal. Not even a smile or a thank you and no enthusiasm, not even asked how are food was at the end of the meal even when I said it was good I only got a patronising smile. I am very disappointed great location, good food lovely setting, miserable rude surly staff. Such a shame

We had lunch on a busy Sunday at The Crab and Lobster. The food is good, well prepared though pricey and the service efficient but indifferent. The interior is furnished mostly with upright chairs which does not make for cosiness and warmth. This is definitely a restaurant rather than a pub with only the garden suitable for drinks only. Parking can be an issue so it is worth going during the week when they are less busy.

We called here last week while out walking. Thought we would check out the place to have an evening meal later on in the week.
We only bought 2 pints of beer and we were charged £3.85 a pint, which in my opinion is a bit over the top compared with other similar places in the area. Although the beer was ok, it was nothing special.
The place was fairly busy and the staff were very pleasant.
Because of the high prices of drinks, we decided to eat elsewhere .
