“Worth going off the beaten track for”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 March 2014

Negotiating your way through the narrow streets of Slapton is small price to pay once you get to the Queen's Arms. With all it's olde worlde charm and cosy ambiance it's a traditional pub of the best sort. Staff were all lovely, very welcoming and friendly and the local people were also very welcoming - everyone we spoke to had a chat with us. The beer is well kept and very good. But the best bit is the food. Freshly cooked (not a microwave ping to be heard!). Great value, great service, nothing too much trouble. If you are in the area make the effort to pay a visit - it's well worth it!

“Good Atmosphere”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2014

Good food, plenty of it and well priced. Pub has a good atmosphere and a good assortment of beer available. Beer garden comes in handy too, but not this time of year. (Feb) Well worth a stop or two.

“Several meals over Christmas”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2014

Good pub food on offer on several occasions while staying in the village. We were always welcomed, and the staff there were very helpful Parking is not an issue as long as you are eating/drinking at the pub. Good friendly local.

“Fantastic fish and chips, the best in England. Cooked by Kevin.”

Loved the log fire and the ambience of a real country pub.
Parking is very limited so maybe you should try to park elsewhere and walk a short distance..

“Good pub grub!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

We recently dined here as a family and enjoyed some hearty pub grubl. The portion sizes were generous and we all enjoyed the traditional look and feel of the pub. I took on the Devonshire Devil curry which was very tasty and not too hot (thank goodnews!!) Dogs are welcome which is something I always appreciate!
