“The BIG WOW and Most Amazing, Warm, Welcoming and Pleasant B&B Experience”
Reviewed 20 May 2011

I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thanks to George and Sheila for the utmost and welcoming hospitality during my stay in their b&b.

I have been in b&b before which were only basic, staying at Clunelly House I can only say that this has been the BEST b&b experience I ever had.

The room were to spacious and spotless, situated in the perfect area for a good night of rest after some long journey, windows open with some stunning views

Would definetely and highly recomend this place to any traveller travelling through Carrowkeel.

Room Tip: big and spacious room on the right

We stayed here during the great weather in April...The locations is beautiful..overlooking the bay in the distance. The house is situated in a very quiet area..It felt very peaceful.

The room was much bigger than we expected...lots of space. It made our stay more relaxing. We had everything we needed including a CD player.

Lovely people too.

Literally just home and unpacked the car after a one night stay in this beautiful bed and breakfast. Sheila and George are a wonderful couple who made us feel like part of their family. Beautiful accommodation with everything you could possibly need for a short or long stay. Ideally situated in a rural location yet close to all the amenities that the picturesque Innishowen has to offer. Enjoy your up and coming well deserved holiday. See you soon. Clunelly House is, in a word, "Perfect!"

Its has a very country feel but is easily accessible and well-marked.

I have no idea how Sheila & George, the charming hostess & host of this amazing Bed & Breafast, manage to keep their home so immaculately, sparkling clean! I have stayed in 5 Star luxury hotels (on business) in London, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, Caracas, and Santiago and NONE of them were kept as pristine as Clunelly House.

The rooms are brand new, traditionally decorated and extremely well-appointed - more like mini suites complete with Television and tea maker, Irish teas, and shortbread cookies. Very elegantly furnished, complete with cozy couches and sitting areas. The bedding is beautiful and the mattress super-comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and functional.

Of the 20+ Bed & Breakfasts I have stayed in throughout Ireland (in both the Republic and the North), Clunelly House was by far the nicest of them all.

The breakfast room is glass-enclosed and has a view of the property to the ocean. The breakfast itself was fantastic. The oversized grounds are flawlessly manicured and the expertly-trimmed lawn in the front yard seems to go on forever.

But perhaps one of the best parts of Cluenelly House are Sheila and George Hayes - it's proud owners. They are a warm, inviting couple whose roots are local. The Craic was wonderful and you will feel as if you are part of the family when you stay there.

I can't wait to return (and stay for a week)!

We have done only b and b in eleven trips to Ireland and this is the best one we have ever found (and it is in a scenic and less traveled part of this beautiful country)...the rooms are large, immaculate, beautifully decorated and well supplied, the hospitality is cordial and caring, the waterfront setting is charming and the breakfast superb....we hated to leave after our enjoyable chat when breakfast was done, and hope to return...we were recommended to an excellent restaurant nearby
