Stopped off for something to eat on our journey home from Scotland. An attractive pub and the staff were very welcoming. the food was standard 'pub grub' but nice and good value for money. The Gretna Shopping Outlet Village is just over the road for some 'retail therapy'.

The pub is next to the retail outlet at Gretna Green and ideal for food before shopping.
Old fashioned style pub with shelves with brass / books / etc and outdoor seating for drinks & food if the weather is ok - we were there on a sunny day and had food inside but coffee outside . . delightful.
Pub style menu with plenty of choice the 3 of us had just main courses . . large juicy gammon steak (the real thing) an American Burger with Monterey Jack cheese and I had the home made steak pie - -and very tasty it was.

Our Main courses cost around the £8 level and were very good value for money.

Good smiling and attentive staff make this a "return to" destination
