We are regular visitors to the various exhibitions at the gallery. We always enjoy the range of Welsh artists exhibited.
The cafe does excellent light meals and snacks. The cakes are particularly good(naughty!!).

We were in the area on an impromptu camping trip and looking for somewhere for breakfast. Saw the sign for food and drove up to the most amazing building, tucked away behind some most amazing trees! We parked, ate and then spent a wonderful hour visiting the gallery. Fascinating history and apparently the oldest art gallery in Wales, so lots of history to read about too. Highly recommend.

We popped up late at night so didn’t see anything of the gallery but took a walk up to iron man.

Great views of the surrounding areas and the iron man statue is a nice touch.

We took the costal trail back around the peninsula looking for our camp site but came across a steep overgrown pathway straight down to the beach road, we ignored that one and continued on the costal path to find our way.

It was a busy step day!

The path beyond the boundary wall at the top is owned privately and beyond our jurisdiction and control. Not really fair to give us 3 stars for something we do not own or control!

We visited here last week and had a great few hours. We started with a coffee in the orangery style cafe, then went on a cliff walk starting from the grounds. By the time we returned it was definitely lunch time, so back to the cafe. Then a short visit to the free art gallery. I'm not sure about parking - we were in the beach car park a 100 yards away. A warning to anyone who doesn't like walking up steep slopes - the house/cafe are at the top of quite a steep rise.

My favourite part was probably the fact that one could enjoy a walk in the fresh sea air and then go somewhere really nice for a coffee/snack afterwards. I very much like orangery style eateries, so I was a happy chap!

I wonder if there has been a change in cafe management in the last year. The gallery was good but the cafe very disappointing this visit. We usually visit the cafe several times when staying in this area but this time did not bother. The coffee was vile! The brand is dreadful: bitter, infact I would go so far as to say it tastes "bad" full of chemicals? The first cup was scorching hot, so we thought it was that the milk had been over boiled. However, the second cup was equally bad. Have the staff been trained sufficiently? In fairness, the staff refunded our money and did not argue. Also why no croissants or pastries on offer at 10 o' clock...only scones and cakes? The gallery is missing an opportunity here. I do hope it improves. I love this place ; it has always been very special for us until this visit. I hope they look at a different brand of coffee or offer an alternative.
