In late September we were going to a concert at the NEC and looked for somewhere close to stay the night before. We were so glad we chose Hampton Manor as the hotel is really lovely, with beautiful grounds to walk in and an excellent restaurant. Our room was very well appointed and looked out over the gardens, and also had a quirky bathroom with a sunken bath just made for candlelight and romance! We had Sunday lunch which was excellent; three courses for £28 with delicious rare roast beef for my husband and the best pea and French bean risotto I'd ever tasted for me. It was beautifully presented and we were very impressed with the service. When we next go to a concert at the NEC we will definitely stay there again; it's ten minutes by taxi so very convenient. The only downside was the state of the taxis; very scruffy and a white knuckle ride, I don't know if the hotel has access to a private hire company but maybe it's something they should consider as they are so upmarket this lets them down.

Room Tip: Take the room with the sunken bath!

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding. The hotel & grounds are beautiful. The staff are extremely attentive, very approachable & friendly too!
Food was delicious but breakfast was sadly lacking the same appeal although it was ok! We would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.
Thanks again!

Treated to dinner and an overnight stay in the Robert Peel Suite for my birthday.
Quite quiet on the night but had a great meal, very attentive staff, and great food, certainly recommend it, and will certainly be back.
Hope to spend New Year here, what better way to welcome in the new year.

Great staff, great food, fantastic rooms. Not a chain-its a passion of the owners to offer a great venue in an authentic manor in the country. Book your wedding here, business folk treat yourself, i will be back.

Room Tip: i asked for a bath...

I went to afternoon tea at the Hampton Manor hotel on Saturday 7th September 2013 and wish I hadn't. There were 13 of us in total and we'd booked for my sister's 50th birthday. Where to begin! The cakes were shop bought! I make better scones! The waitress service was terrible and not at all attentive, we had to remind her several times about orange juice for my grandson and milk to go with the tea and coffee we'd ordered! The bread was a little dry as if it had stood for a while, they'd obviously run out of egg mayonnaise as we'd got a random cheese sandwich amongst the egg mayonnaise, the beef was as tough as an old boot!! My daughter (aged 30), asked if she could have an orange juice as the children had ordered, but was told that this option was only open to the children! What difference would it have made if she'd had orange juice instead of coffee or tea I ask you! Then to top it all, we were charged £18 per head for the privalege of this bad food and service instead of the £16 per head stated on their website. PLUS they charged us over £23 for service, a service that we didn't actually receive. If you want afternoon tea, go to Coombe Abbey !!
