Description: The Beeches Bar and Grill is an informal yet chic restaurant in Solihull within the appealing village setting of Hampton in Arden, with chunky wooden tables inviting you to enjoy scenic views over the rolling hills of the Solihull countryside. Featuring six different steaks in varying sizes, the restaurant also has plenty of grilled fish, sharing platters, salads and tapas options, with traditional roasts on Sunday lunch. The restaurant is inspired by a simple take on top quality dining, offering a comfortable venue for anything from a lazy weekend brunch to a quick drink after work or even a round of golf. Despite its relaxed atmosphere however, it is still stylish enough to bring a touch of class to any evening out. Warm colours, cosy sofas and daily newspapers are also part of the experience. Whatever the reason for dining, you can look forward to a friendly welcome.

Food was good however the service was beyond terrible. We have been numerous times before and is normally okay but the last time we came a month or so ago service was quite slow - despite this we decided to give it another try.
However, we waited ages for both starters and mains and there were no staff around to chase where the food was despite the restaurant being almost empty. Once we got given pudding menus no one came for ages to take our order so ended up just paying and leaving as got so fed up with waiting. Considering this was to celebrate my mums birthday it was highly disappointing - won’t be coming back again for a while.

We booked at short notice and managed to secure a table. We weren’t guaranteed a table outside, but turned up and grabbed a picnic table in the garden.

We did inform the restaurant staff but ended up ordering from the bar after waiting too long for someone to come to us.

We had the burger, and the chicken basket.

Both were good, not over cooked (burger was medium with a little pink showing, just perfect).

In and out in an hour.

Prices reasonable.

Found this by accident when looking for lunch and what a discovery! A lovely setting and a good, varied menu at a very reasonable cost - a prix fixe menu was available at £14.50 for two courses but decided t go for the a la carte. I had a properly made, rich carbonara and my companion really enjoyed his beef wellington. I found the staff attentive and drinks and food orders were taken promptly. I have since returned for dinner and had the same experience, a perfectly cooked steak and a good home made pesto with tagliatelle. Going back soon to take advantage of the sunny outdoor space!

We had a late brunch from the brunch menu. Neither of the 4 of us eating were much impressed. Mediocre quality and quantity. Particularly the scrambled egg and salmon looked poorly and short in supply. Toilets not that clean and need an overhaul. I wouldn't rush back.

Visited The Beeches several times over the years. This particular experience could have been better.

Firstly the food was good and reasonable quality for the price. No complaints there.

My issue was with the service. In particular...the waitress behind the bar was very slow to acknowledge us and spent several minutes doing something else on the till whilst we waited...not a great start to the evening. I found being told 'I'll be with you when I'm ready' in quite an abrupt tone, rude. Also then asked for our drinks orders before we'd barely sat down or seen a menu which was a bit odd.

We had several waiters/waitresses throughout the evening. Both men were polite, friendly and attentive (this is what I'd expect from The Beeches) however no smiles from the other girl who seemed keen to get away and plonked the food down quickly.

Judging by other reviews the standard of service has slipped here which is a shame.
