“Kids party”
Reviewed 9 March 2014 via mobile

Our kids, ages 6 and 3, were invited to their friends' birthday party held at the pottery. I have to say the experience was excellent. The kids were given a choice of what pottery to decorate and had great fun painting, then they had a chance to make "spin art", a really simple idea of putting a canvas on a vertical wheel and spraying paint on it, very simple but really effective and great fun.

Food provided for the party was brilliant, and it's obvious the owners and staff are family orientated as they couldn't have done more to make the experience brilliant for everyone, even among the inevitable bedlam of 30 hyper kids at the party.

Well done Dalton Pottery, we will definitely be back soon :0)

“relaxing afternoon out”
Reviewed 1 November 2013

We all decided to paint a piece of pottery which was then baked for us, our little girl also did some spin art, we had a lovely lunch here while awaiting our masterpieces to come out the oven. The lady running the place was freindly and helpfull, we all came home with unique moneyboxes pencil holders teapots and artwork, its something different and we all loved it

“Lovely little Cafe and Pottery”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

Visited twice whilst staying in area for a week. Great on a rainy day for the kids to paint their own pots for about 45 mins and then wait for it to be baked in the oven. (even we parents joined in!). Staff were very helpful and friendly, (young girl as owners away on hols). We sampled the food whilst waiting and found it to be cheap and fresh, wifey loved her scone. There is a wide range of pre made pots to choose from in vary price ranges which we thought were quite cheap compared to our local kids pottery. My one small criticism was that there were not enough art/sculpture/wooden items/to browse in the shop as I am sure more parents would be enticed into a purchase whilst waiting! Lovely little spot off the beaten track and well worth a visit for an hour or so.
