arne is just lovely, a long winding road takes you to the car park, it is a rsbp site, so there is a charge, but then there are a number of walks you can go on, which take you through woodland, we have seen deer on the waters edge here before! If you carry on walking down to the beach there are lovely views across the sea to poole and the surrounding areas. Very quiet nice place to go.

Thank storyman

I like woods and I like wildlife well which is best!!

Here you get both and the place is ace. Well worth a visit, helpful staff and cheap parking.

Wednesday's they do a free guided walk!

If you're looking for a woodland walk in the country then Arne RSPB Reserve is a great place to go. On busy days they open the field just before the main car park so parking is never a problem (not too expensive either). The main car park has the basic facilities including a hot drinks machine so make sure you take some change. With various walks to choose, with various lengths, you can decide what is best for your group. Alternatively just wander, most junctions are sign posted so if you have a good sense of direction you are not likely to get lost.
If you have small children with you this can be a fantastic nature experience, I'm sure the more serious bird watchers will appreciate calm and quiet about the hides though. Some of the paths have wooden walkways, probable because the ground beneath is unsuitable for wheel/pushchairs, so most areas can be accessed quite easily.
