How on earth do these guys come up with a rack rate of $700.
Silk pavilions is extreemly overpriced and I would not recomend.
Glorified tent accommodation with some nice furnishings.
Even on a "special deal" at $299 p/n it is priced way over the top.

Room Tip: If you must stay here, book the pavilion not the tent.

So sorry you feel like Silk Pavilions was a waste of money. 99% of our guests would, I am sure, tend to disagree with you! Our visitors books are full of accolades which is wonderful to see and many guests making a return visit to us. Our sole aim is to give each and every guest a wonderful stay and value for money. Our accommodation is different but this is what guests tend to love. It's uniqueness. As the Spreets deal was only launched in July last year and you stayed on a Spreets voucher in April, not sure how you managed to stay with us! We look forward to welcoming you at Silk Pavilions one day soon.

I purchased a voucher on line for this superb location. It was for my husbands birthday. What a heavenly spot.We stayed in the authentic Thai pavilion. Every was A 1. The bed the Views out over Mt Warning and the valleys of national park. The tranquility is amazing. The Hosts were just fabulous nothing was a problem. If you want a special time away and the most superb slice of Australia, look no further. Truly memorable. Jo and Gary, Berowra.

Great communication through booking process, gorgeous countryside, and excellent accommodation. Quiet and relaxing ... hospitality is very good, try all the food options, we certainly enjoyed them ( including special dietary needs). We stayed in the Thai Pavilion which was very very well done and enjoyed our evening meals and breakfast outside watching the wallabies and the chooks. The only thing needed (in our opinion) that would make this 5 star, is the gardening and landscaping being completed and well maintained. As is often the case in mountaineous areas, mobile phone range was limited. Highly recommended for couples or groups.

Room Tip: The Thai Pavilion is worth the extra money

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was so lovely. Our welcome was brilliant, the hosts do a great job for this magnificent property. We were offered a welcome drink and took in the fantastic views of the mountains.

We were shown to our Eco Pavilion - WOW! What an amazing job they have done with a meer tent, it was beautiful - complete with Chandelier! We had our own private deck and outdoor modern bathroom.

Dinner for our first night was the BBQ pack that you cook on your own gas BBQ - it was great, the steaks were amazing and the salad was beautiful too. More than enough food to feed the both of us!
The breakfast packs are delivered every morning and are waiting for you when you wake up-and theyre wonderful - lots of fresh fruit, muesli, juice and toast. Perfect way to start the day!
The second night we shared a pizza which is also cooked on the BBQ and we loved that too.

Mount Warning is an easy drive away - we had intentions to do the walk up there but could hardly tear ourselves away from the accommodation!

The only tips i would give people is to maybe bring your own insect repellent/citronella for march flies - im not sure if they just love the 'Orchid' Pavilion (it is surrounded by the most trees) but they can be pretty persistant and very annoying during the heat of the day. Insect repellant, fly spray and mozzie coils are supplied, but i would also bring back up.

And also i would encourage people to keep in mind that other Eco Pavilions are close by so to keep your voice down. On our second night we had an older couple who were talking rather loudly and their voices were also travelling from the wind. It was annoying to hear their voices through the beautiful bird songs in the morning.

It truly was a beautiful stay and a unique experience that I wont forget :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the "orchid' eco pavilion but it looked like 'pinnacle' had the best views.

My Husband & I drove down to Silk Pavilions from Brisbane last weekend for a country getaway and it definitely lived up to our expectations, actually exceeded them! It was our frist time driving through inland Northern NSW and it was one of the prettiest drives we have ever done. Silk Pavilions is located on such a picturesque piece of land, beautiful & green with rolling hills & plenty of wildlife. We stayed in the "Orchid" tent a bit lower down the hill than the other two tents but do not feel that we missed out on any view at all. The rooms are large & really well set out and we loved the little bathroom, outdoors with a great shower & still plenty of privacy. We cooked our own dinner on the barbie each night so didn’t get to try any of Sue’s delights that other people have raved about! Breakfast was delivered to our balcony each morning, muesli, yoghurt, bread, juice & fresh fruit. One of the best things we enjoyed was the fact that there was no TV, just us enjoying nature from the comfort of our balcony with a glass of wine...or two! We were also very luck to experience a large thunder storm on the second night of our stay, was great to watch and then the next day we woke up to beautiful sunny skies. This was without a doubt one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute there, Sue & all the other staff were lovely and we can not give enough praise!
