Great location, excellent food and beverages. Warm and very welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble.
Bedroom needs upgrading, no wardrobe or drawers for clothing etc. and vanity unit needed for the ladies makeup etc

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was perfect. The location, the staff, the food, the bedrooms and the general ambiance of the hotel could not be faulted. We were travelling with a disabled friend and the staff could not have been more helpful in guiding us through the many interesting parts of this marvelous old building. Very convenient for the M6. Next time you are travelling either north or south give yourself a real treat and stay at the Priory Inn.

Room Tip: Try to get the double on the ground floor. It is an amazing room

We stayed on Friday night with our nine month old daughter; I was concerned about staying anywhere unusual with her, but I needn't have been at all . The staff at The Priory were all incredibly helpful and polite and welcoming; we chatted with each of them that we met, and every one of them were above and beyond. It created a real calm and welcoming atmosphere.
The room itself was very nicely presented and spotlessly clean, everything we needed, with plenty of space for my daughter to play after a boring drive. We ate in the bar in the evening - food was delicious and came to the table very quickly, plus there was an excellent selection of beers too. Breakfast was brilliant, great range of options, really well done and very tasty. Can't recommend the place enough! I shall be back soon.

We were fortunate to stay at this delightful hotel near the Forest of Bowland on January 10th. The staff were wonderfully welcoming and the food was excellent - all the food is locally sourced We stayed in the Grizedale room which was very spacious and beautifully furnished/decorated. The hotel has it's own bakery and deli and were treated to beautiful homemade shortbread biscuits at no charge. Interestingly the hotel has it's own cycling/outdoor interests shop off the reception and it stocks high class clothes and equipment at a sensible price. A truly lovely hotel! The best thing of all though was the very reasonable cost of our stay - great value for money; we will definitely stay there again.

A lovely place. Very welcoming. Super staff. Comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated. Restaurant & breakfast delicious. Highly recommended. Unfortunately we stayed only one night as en route from Scotland. However we will definitely return.
Minor point, bath towels were rather on small side.

We stayed for 3 nights over the Christmas period and loved everything about it, quirky, stylish; with fantastic bedrooms and beautiful décor throughout (we stayed in Grizdale) The Café bar is unusually French themed and has a bright and pleasant feel to it. The food and service were both excellent, and the staff made us feel really welcome. Would defiantly recommend and we will return. 10/10

Room Tip: We stayed in Grizedale, Excellent.

A pleasant stay in a quiet location. Rooms clean and tastefully decorated and in keeping with the history of the building. Staff in restaurant smart, attentive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent freshly cooked to order. Dinner menu offers a good choice at a reasonable price. Ladyewell room has shower and a small "dressing room" giving a little more space. The bed was a little firm but this is a personal choice, however the bath towels could have been larger.
