We had our wedding reception and evening at the Priory on the 17th April 2014, what an amazing day the staff were so helpful in the whole thing from our first meeting to book the wedding and in the following weeks that led up to the big day. Nothing was too much trouble for them i dropped off the cake and table decorations the day before and they took care of everything else, and what a fantastic job they did it looked amazing. The food was fabulous and all our guests commented on how good it was. We booked all the rooms at the Priory as we had family travelling a distance to share our day, the rooms were of an extremely high standard and so clean and well set out. Breakfast the next morning was unbelievable and included in the price of the room!!! the choice was good and the cooked breakfast was fantastic !!! Thankyou to all at the Priory for helping to make our day so memorable it was amazingxx

Room Tip: We chose to stay in the Grizedale room it was a very spacious room with a lovely ensuite, will definately be staying there again.

The hotel is in a tiny village set on a hillside. It has a restaurant and bar/coffee shop. There is also a large outdoor clothing shop with a wide range of products. The hosts were welcoming and it was nice to stay in a small hotel that provides employment for local people. The weather was wet and windy but there were wood burners everywhere which added so much to the warm and cosy atmosphere. Our room was large and comfortable. Because of it's location-a little off the beaten track it was great that there was a good restaurant in the hotel-we ate there every night.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room that was spacious with a good size sitting area.

Our second stay and we will return again! Nothing was too much trouble, very friendly staff and excellent food in the restaurant. Comfortable rooms and superb full English breakfast contribute to make this hotel excellent value for money. Lovely village - we really enjoyed the May bank holiday weekend with the bikes and barrows festival. Highly recommended.

Stayed there for 1 night en route to see family in Fleetwood. Very helpful staff and very comfortable room/bed. Good restaurant in situ which was a big advantage for us. Would recommend and would stay there again.

We stayed over the Easter weekend. Scorton is a lovely village ideal for visiting the forest of Bowland or further afield.

Very helpful owner who on learning I was planning a bit of fishing offered me a free day ticket on the local trout water. What a gent! I did not have my trout rod with me and had to turn him down. He isnt a fisherman so I'm not sure he fully understood, but what a generous offer.

Lovely staff. We ate a couple of nights in the restaurant - good food and reasonable prices.

This is a quirky little hotel, if you want all the homogenised chain hotel facilities and service then this place is probably not for you. On the other hand if you want a relaxing get away from it all, somewhere you can really recharge the batteries then place could be what you are looking for.
The beds might be a bit creaky, the shower temperature a bit variable depending on time of day but they are minor compared to the lovely restful atmosphere of the place. Bearing in mind it was Easter weekend and it was very busy in the day, but by evening all was peaceful again and some lovely local village walks before dinner made it all the more enjoyable
