The hotel is in a lovely region with trees and small rivers all around. The chestnut trees were full of fruit ready to be picked. The hotel is modern, clean with warm sitting area with a fireplace. A very competent cook ,young and polite offers many delicacies local and international.
On the down side the receptionist is extremely rude, never smiles ,not even a good morning! If she does not like her job she can find a new one!!
In general a fair long weekend with good food and relaxation

The location and the view of the hotel are perfect. After recent renovation the rooms and generally the hotel are very tasteful and clean. However, there are some things that you should know before you book a room at this hotel. Breakfast is poor (although a buffet) and of very bad quality. Television does not work, even sat TV. Wi-Fi is not available during all day (!). The personnel is insufficient (one person does it all!). I don’t know if I would go there again.

Visited the hotel for new year's eve. The road to ano hora is a little bit tiring but the scenery ones you arrive makes up for that. Hotel is ideally located above the village of ano hora and within walking distance. Lobby and rooms are spacious and comfortable. For the price clearly above expectations.
service was excellent even though the hotel was quite full.
Meals were simply delicious and all in all a very relaxing stay. Would definitely reccomend this hotel and place to nature lovers. Would love to go back in spring or summer with a bike to see how nature changes itself.

Received by a rather moody person, we were shown to a room with a spectacular view, alas with dirty carpets all over, including the carpets in the hotel's corridors, reception area and conference venues. Blown light bulbs, spider nets badly maintained woodwork and a fireplace put there for decoration purposes completed the image.
Restaurant with a magnificent terrace but grossly understaffed and with very expensive prices (2,5 Euros for a plain cup of tea!)
Laundry and plates from the rooms were left to lie in the corridors for days, as a result of staff shortage amidst summer high season.
Last but not least, for those of you travelling with children, the pool has no protective fencing or net it is so easy for children to access it unaccompanied as it is to be found right next to some of the rooms.
Completely different to what we would expect by looking at the hotel's site on the internet, we we would strongly recommend anyone visiting Ano Chora to avoid this bad value for money venue.
Utterly dissatified.
