Françoise, la patronne, is so welcoming and friendly. She really knows how a restaurant works. The food is very good, the ambience even better. The décor is stylishly quirky, but comfortable: mismatched china & light-fittings, bibelots on side tables, frequently changing exhibitions of artworks (for sale if the mood should take you). There is a log fire in the reception area, a terrace for when the sun shines, a cosy bar, sometimes there's live music e.g. on our last visit there was a jazz band playing in the restaurant (they kept the decibels down to a comfortable level). Good gastronomic menu at 27 euro; but also 12 euro lunch menu Monday - Friday. Oh, forgot to say that the location is charming too, with the château, the mairie and the village square all within view.
