Description: Enjoy the tranquility of the garden patio enveloped in this stunning natural setting or relax in the quiet ambiance of Vineyard Hotel's spacious Garden Lounge. The stunning mountain views, the wonderful landscaped gardens and the song of the many varieties of Cape birds that can be found in the vineyard’s garden are just a few of the pleasures to be enjoyed while contemplating an utterly delicious garden lounge menu offering light lunch meals.

Lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon this was a the perfect location. Stunning mountain views. Gorgeous hotel. We had good food and wine and good service. Good coffee. After lunch we took a walk around the grounds through the shady trees along the river. We will go back!

I had a business breakfast with a colleague in December and ordered from the 'hot menu'. I was very disappointed. The omelette was small and dry and the toast was cold. The coffee was also cold. I've eaten in the garden lounge before and unfortunately this is not my first disappointment. The problem is that the setting is so beautiful that one is willing to forgive poor food quality. However, if I'm going to pay high prices, I expect quality as well. I love going there for coffee but that's about it for the garden lounge. A real pity.

The setting is stunning, the wine list interesting and well priced, the service impeccable but the food is not up to standard esp. when there is an award winning restaurant next door. Our group of four got there for a late lunch and we were welcomed by staff that were run off their feet but welcoming and attentive. The menu looks interesting but when it comes to the execution the quality and presentation does not justify the price. Why not get some help.

This is a gorgeous venue. We popped in for high tea on a Sunday afternoon and had delicious cheese cake and carrot cake. The atmosphere is delightfully old world and the gardens are beautiful. If you like a bit of history, there's also an interesting exhibit of original owner Lady Anne Barnard's letters and drawings.

Went there for high tea and was quite impressed with the standard. The hotel has lush gardens which firm a serene and ideal location for lazy high tea. There is no nearby major road so no traffic noise.
The tea was excellent. Wide choice. Accompanied by a great selection of sweets and savouries. The quantities are more than generous. Expect to leave full or caring something.
Cost was about USD12 per person, normally that would be pricey but in this case we'll worth it.
