This is a small but elegant restaurant in a beautiful guest house, and we have had many wonderful meals here. Alas, the restaurant closes down during the winter months and doesn't re-open until late in April. However, if you are a guest here, you will still be treated to an excellent breakfast in the very pleasant, light and airy dining room. We agreed that it took for the prize for "best breakfast on the trip." The cheese omelet with "overnight baked tomatoes" is a must-have, with its fresh herb infused tomato topping. Also great are the vanilla flavored pancakes and the eggs benedict. Fresh homemade brown bread and scones, coffee, juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, prunes, seed toppings, cereals, etc. complete the spread. it's always one of the highlights of our visit to Doolin.
