Highest marks to this spot. We rented cottage 6 for four days for a break from the
lesser privacy and space of bed and breakfasts. It was a pleasure to sit out on the deck overlooking both the sea and the most peaceful pastoral scene of cows, sheep and farm fields imaginable. The bed was extremely comfortable, the kitchen had everything one could desire, and the cosy sitting room had a peat fire going every evening. The owner was most helpful and the price was extremely reasonable. Get your groceries in Ennistymon or elsewhere and top up at the surprisingly well equipped gas station just up the road. We truly loved this place.

What a wonderful place to stay!
We used our cottage just outside Doolin as a base to visit Co Clare (and some of Co Limerick)
The cottage was so cosy and had everything we could possibly have needed for our week in Doolin.
TJ is very friendly and gave us lots of local information.
The cottage is ideally located and is so quiet and peaceful.
I would recommend the Atlantic View cottages to everyone - we will definitely be back!

The Atlantic View Cottages were great! They ideally located, tastefully decorated, in a beautiful area, and very relaxing. They are within a 10 minute drive of The Cliff's of Moher, Downtown Doolin, The Burren, and many ruins. The view from the back deck is great. TJ, the owner, is very hospitable and a pleasure to talk too. He recommended many local sites and activities and we were glad to have his input. My wife and I have stayed in hotels, hostels, resorts, and rental properties in 14 US States and 5 countries. The Atlantic View Cottages in Doolin are our absolute favorite! We hope to return next year and will stay in the same cottage if we can.

Room Tip: Email TJ, the owner, directly.

If you are looking for a cottage in a nice and relaxing surrounding, the Atlantic View Cottages are definitely recommended. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. The owners gave a warm welcome so that you really feel at home. It is a perfect start to explore The Burren, it is near to the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. Doolin is a small but cosy village with nice pubs.
We stayed for one week and we really enjoyed it!

In April we stayed in one of the Atlantic View Cottages in Doolin for one week after having stayed in B&Bs on our tour through Connemara. This was the first time that we rented a self-catering accomodation in Ireland and it was a thoroughly positive experience.

T.J., the owner, was very friendly and paitently explained us everything we had to know about the cottage. The cottage was very comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated. We liked the fireplace and the cosy sofa in particular. Since we are vegetarians and sometimes have difficulties finding a nice place to eat, we enjoyed having a kitchen and being able to cook our own food. Also the washing machine came in handy, especially as our holiday was unexpectedly prologued due to the Eyjafjallajökull.

From the balcony one can enjoy a nice view of the nearby Atlantic Ocean to which it is a ten minutes drive (or a 40 minutes walk). It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk to the nearest pub. There is a petrol station nearby. The nearest cash mashine is in Ennistymon.

Doolin is the perfect base for touring County Clare, especially for exploring the Burren-region, the Aran Islands, Cliffs of Moher and Loop Head. Doolin's pubs are famous for it's live music and one can enjoy a nice view on the Cliffs of Moher from the beach near Doolin Harbour.

We can heartily recommend Atlantic View Cottages Doolin and would also recommend staying in B&Bs the first week and in a cottage the second week when touring Ireland.

I wanted to show the wonders of the Irish West coast to my Hungarian friend and this place was the perfect base for our trips around county Clare. I highly recommend to anyone looking for quiet, comfortable accomodation in rural surroundings. After a long day of discovering the magic places around, the fireplace and the cozy armchairs and couches invite you for a relaxed night in. The far view of the ocean is breathtaking especially at sunset. Cora and TJ are the kind and helpful owners. They will assist you with everything you need. Ginger and Aniko from Hungary.

We had the pleasure of staying in a quaint self-catering cottage from Atlantic View Cottages. This was our first attempt at a self-catering vacation and it's the way to vacation. The cottage lacked nothing in making our stay relaxing and enjoyable, it was spotless, bed were ok. It was a 15 min walk to the nearest pup, but an enjoyable country walk. We recommend McDermott's Pub, excellent food and awesome atmosphere. Very pleasant and personably staff and the music was outstanding!
