“SUPER COTTAGE'S IN A SUPER PART OF IRELAND”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 July 2014

A great place in a great location. Special place to travel around and see much of Ireland, and Doolin is a super place and the Atlantic View Cottage's are the only place to stay. Very Clean, family friendly, and within walking distance to the town of Doolin. Just a 5 minute drive to the Cliffs of Moher to see the cliffs from the top or a 5 minute drive to the Doolin Ferry to see the cliffs from the Ocean or go to the Aran Islands. All the Pubs in town have traditional Irish Music and great food. The west is the best of Ireland. So mush to do and see in County Clare and using the cottages as a base makes it so much easier when your coming to a HOME. We will be back and this is where we will stay and the owners are special an treat everyone like family.

We recently stayed at the Atlantic Views Cottages and we couldn't have been happier if we tried. The cottages have everything you need and has a real homely feel.
TJ met us at the cottage and we were a little late, and showed us all around. He gives you a great insight into Doolin and it really is a charming little village (be aware, they have no ATM machines in Doolin). It is great proximity to Ennis and the Cliffs of Mohar. Everything about the cottage is modern and clean and a definite pick for your next stay.

The cottage was pretty, functional and clean. Contrary to the website there was no Dishwasher and the Washer didn't have Dryer option but this wasn't really an issue, due to the lovely weather.
All other appliances worked well and our children thoroughly enjoyed the play ground. A very nice touch !

Well situated cottage, near lots of different tourist attractions.
Co. Clare was a lovely area to visit.

Room Tip: Both rooms were very well fitted and comfortable beds.

We stayed in a cottage for a week and are very sad to be leaving today. Absolutely everything you could think of needing was provided for us in the cottage. The owners take very good care of the place and everything was so nice and clean. It was lovely to head back and relax there after long days exploring as the place was so comfortable. We felt completely at home for the week. The location is great as you can walk to the village down a quiet road. We toured around but Doolin was by far the best place to stay. T J met us on arrival and gave us a warm welcome. He had the fire going for us and showed us around. He had lots of advice about for us about the area which was very helpful. He was very nice to talk to and wanted to make sure we had a good time while we were staying there. Where the cottages are located is very peaceful yet we had the village only a short distance away so this suited us greatly. It's a great spot if you like walking. One day we walked from Doolin to Liscannor via the coastal walk - 20km each way. You can also do a shorter walk from Doolin to the Cliffs of Moher which is roughly 8km. Lovely views. Doolin is also a good spot for getting the ferry over to the Aran Islands. Nightlife is great in Doolin with plenty of music sessions on at night. Great pub grub in Mc Ganns pub at the bottom of the road from the cottages. We will definitely come back to Doolin again and will definitely be coming back to the Atlantic view cottages.

This is our second visit to Atlantic View Cottages! Thanks to the owner, the property is truly authentic, spotless and pleasant. Fireplace was lit upon arrival, such a warm hello!
We brought our family from Russia who decided to sell their property and move to Doolin because of such welcome! :)
Great kitchen with all the utensils you might need - washer, dryer, oven, plates, cups, pots, glasses, cutlery, dishwasher...you name it! There was also a garden outside the house with a table a chairs for the barbeque!
Cliffs of Moher are 15 minute drive away, so staying here is simply a must!
Check-in takes 5 minutes and you are left in tranquility of Doolin and Atlantic for as long as you need. Any restaurant or pub advice is given by the owner TJ, who is such a person! Massive thanks and we will see you again!!!

Room Tip: Always give a ring to the owner TJ before you book the cottage and describe what are you looking for...

We spent 3 brilliant days in the cottage visiting the West of Ireland. Easy to find, brilliantly equipped kitchen with everything you might need, sitting room with comfy sofas and most of all - fireplace! Bedrooms are simply for pleasure - soft bed, heated blankets, great bed linen, comfortable pillows. We will definitely be back!
Special Thanks to the owner TJ who gave us tea which we forgot! Such a nice Irish touch or care!

Even before arriving in Ireland TJ Kerns set the mood by calling me in Wisconsin to talk about our stay at his cottage. He was warm, friendly and extremely courteous with a wealth of knowledge about the area. When we arrive, TJ and his wife, Cora, met us at the door and had a warm fire going in the fireplace. They gave us a very thorough tour of the cottage and left us with plenty of wood to keep us warm for the 2 days we were staying. The cottage was very well stocked with dishes , pots and pans, and utensils all in good condition. The walk into town took about 15 min down a cute country lane, very beautiful to walk after a night of experiences wonderful traditional Irish music. Locals just seemed to set up and play instruments right in the booths in the pubs with other local people breaking out in spontaneous dance and ballads-it was wonderful. Our electricity when out the first morning due to a tremendous wind storm (thank you TJ and Cora for the warm electric blankets on all of the beds that kept us comfy that night) TJ was very accommodating and concerned . We toured the day away and they brought us a lot of extra wood and candles for the evening. We needed to leave early the next day and again he did everything necessary to make our departure fast and easy. The cottage was beautiful, warm and cozy with a patio that had views of the ocean and meadows. We would most definitely stay with TJ and Cora again and look forward to spending more time exploring this beautiful region of Ireland. A big thank you to the Kerns for making our Doolin experience perfect!
