We were so welcomed by dear Breda and her daughter. The accommodation is simple and very clean with a good Irish breakfast on offer. The location is great for the pubs at night and in the middle of everything. Highly recommended.

We stayed here one night in July, essentially as our base to explore the Cliffs of Moher. We arrived in the early evening, and upon hearing that that was our main purpose for being in Doolin, Breda and her daughter recommended that we see the cliffs both by boat and by walking, and helped us secure a reservation at a great rate for the last boat tour of the evening. As we had to leave Doolin in the morning after a quick hike around the cliffs, without that recommendation we would not have had time to do both, and would have missed out on what was one of the highlights of our trip.

The rooms are very nicely furnished - clean and modern, very comfortable beds. Additionally, there is a popular pub for irish music that my father loved, and a delicious little chocolate shop both within walking distance, so the location is very good as well. The breakfast was fine - nothing special, just basic options but definitely enough to start your day - and actually as my boyfriend wasn't feeling well, they even prepared a special tray for me to bring to him to eat in bed, which was much appreciated. Overall I would highly recommend this B&B for a quick trip to the area. They definitely stood out with excellent customer service.

Breda responded really quickly to my enquiry, and from that point on, she was very helpful, with a real grasp of customer service. The directions were spot on. I was concerned in case there were midges in August: Breda said not to worry and she was right!
The photos don't really do Riverside Cottage justice: it is set by the bridge on the turn towards the shops and the harbour, with plenty of parking, with a simple pretty garden. It has been renovated with flair and to a high standard. By late evening the road was very quiet, and we slept very well.
Breda obviously enjoys what she does, and she makes an excellent cup of tea (very welcome after a long drive from Dublin; or a walk to and from the Cliffs of Moher; and an great antidote to sea sickness after the boat trip returning from the Cliffs!). Breakfasts were spot on, with plenty of choice.
Our en-suite room was comfortable, and the walk-in wardrobe stored our luggage as well as clothes. Everything was spotless.
It's about a 20 minute walk to the harbour, and about the same going inland passing a range of pubs and restaurants. The walk to the Cliffs is just over the road.
If we had stayed longer, we would have had more time to sit and chat with Breda, and her daughter.
We really enjoyed our short stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights in August 13. This perfectly located place in the centre of Doolin is spotlessly clean. Our 3 bedded room was wonderful and really comfortable to return to after a day of sightseeing. A delicious Irish breakfast is offered in the lovely breakfast room whilst watching the cows grazing from the window. The famous O'Connor Pub is just 2 mins walk away. Private parking is available on site.
Breda & her daughter are really kind people who made our stay such a memorable one. We really hope that one day we will return.

We stayed here on July 8-10, 2013. We had such a nice time. Breda is such a sweet woman and truly wants to make your stay a wonderful experience. I contacted her by email after finding her cottage here on TripAdvisor. She was very quick to respond. We made all arrangements thru email. She gave us a warm welcome with afternoon tea and biscuits. Her breakfast is wonderful! The rooms are immaculately clean and bed/pillows were so comfortable! The decor is very nice. We stayed in room 3. I highly recommend it if you want more privacy. My inlaws stayed in room 1 and were very happy there. Room 1 and 2 are in the front of the house next door to each other. Room 3 is toward the back and more private which I really liked. All rooms have their own spotless, clean bathroom. The location is just perfect if you are visiting the Cliffs of Mohr. In the evening Gus O'Conner's Pub is a short walk away with great pints, food and music. I highly recommend Riverside Cottage!

Spent 3 days in the excellent care of the Breda & Ann. Wonderful people, who care about all aspects of the stay. The rooms are spotless, well taken care of and comfortable. Breakfast was a wide range of traditional Irish fare and was delicious. The warm coal fire at the end of the day took the chill off our trip to Inis Oirr.

Breda's knowledge and stories about Doolin are charming and informative.

They even had wi-fi for the teens!

I cannot speak highly enough of my stay!
