“Nice hotel”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

I stayed in May 2014. Sharon was most pleasant and kind enough to drive us to the village where our wedding venue was. The hotel was clean and very comfortable with modern bathroom and lovely shower. Unfortunately we skipped breakfast due to our late night but the comfy bed allowed us a nice lie in!

3 of us stayed this weekend at the Aran View House. We had booked a triple room but were actually given two adjoining rooms (one entrance so you had to go through one toom to get to the other. So that was a pleasant surprise in terms of space. However the decor was very outdated and we did notice a rather unpleasant smell in the main bedroom. Furniture was dark & our double bed very small. The rooms were at the back of the house so no nice views. Breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is good for the wonderful views but it is quite a walk from Doolin. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room & when we ordered tea we were charged for it. Given what we paid we would far prefer to stay in either Hotel Doolin or Tir gan Ean neither of which was available for the night we needed.

We have just returned from a weekend stay in the Aran View Hotel in Doolin. It was thoroughly enjoyable and the owners of this family run hotel made us feel very welcome. The rooms were really comfortable and the views amazing. The breakfast was fantastic and set you up for a days sightseeing The Guinness in the bar afterwards was truly excellent.. We are really looking forward to our return visit soon.

We came here for two days in September 2013 and stayed for four. Stunning views, comfortable rooms, endless hot water for long baths after hiking the Burren all day. Beautiful old fashioned dining room and bar with wooden vaulted ceilings. Top quality breakfast. Great base for music in Doolin, exploring Burren, Aran island, county Clare in general. Family owned and run. Highly recommend it.

This was my second stay at the Aran View. It was great. The four of us really enjoyed our time in Doolin and our visit to the Aran Isles. It was topped off my the frindliness and support of the owners of the Aran View!
Skip Galway and stay in Doolin for your visit to the Aran Isles. If you do try to stay at the aran View House hotel.

We stayed here for one night - the room was nice and we enjoyed the breakfast. It is a little farther out of town but that wasn't a big deal to us as we were driving. Food wise there is a restaurant and bar on the property but we found it to be out of our price range - we took a short drive into town and ate at one of the pubs. Overall a nice stay.

The Aran View is a fine place to stay. It was clean, the staff was pleasant, the view was good and the breakfast was plentiful. Decor is a throwback to the 1970's, and the location is a little further out of Doolin than I would have liked if I wanted to walk back after enjoying the local music.
