“Excellent B&B in Doolin”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Our family of 7 arrived in Doolin weary from travel. Carol showed us to our comfortable rooms. 2 doubles and a triple. Family commented that the doubles had really nice, newly remodeled bathrooms. One took a bath! We ended up having a family emergency back in the states which required some assistance from Carol, who was gracious and very comforting. She even gave me a hug.
The breakfast was first rate. Many options made to order and precisely prepared by the owner/chef.
My husband and I visited 5 years ago, remembered how lovely it was and decided to bring the whole family. It did not let us down. When in Doolin, it's a must stay.

Cullinan's is an absolutely wonderful place to stay when visiting Doolin! The location is central and it is very easy to walk to various nearby pubs as well as shops in the town center. Doolin itself had wonderful music and great food, and we found it to be the perfect place to stay for our first night in Ireland. The rooms at Cullinan's were very clean and charming while the views from the bedroom window was picturesque. We especially enjoyed our meals at Cullinan's, and although dinner was delicious, I must say the breakfast was my favorite of any we had while in Ireland. Everyone we met was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. We cannot recommend Cullinan's highly enough!

We had a nice size family room, kids had their own beds. Very clean and enough room to move around. We had breakfast the next morning which was very good. They took your order and cooked it fresh. Located right in town near pubs and shops.

This was my first time in a B&B and it was a lovely experience. Cullinan's is located central to everything; ten minute walk in either direction (not far at all) for the pubs and traditional music, and it is right across the street from Fitzpatrick's Bar. The pier for the ferries to the Aran Island or the Cliffs of Moher was close by also - 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk or so. Either is doable - but I would recommend the walk.
We stayed two nights. Cullinan's itself was a very neat, prettily decorated and home-like place. It felt in keeping with the musical theme you'll find in Doolin, with photos and artwork of musicians, instruments and the like. The rooms were neat, clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. There was free wifi and television. The beds were very comfortable. There were three of us in our room (a triple room) which would have slept 4, and we all had plenty of room for our things and were very happy with our accommodations.
Breakfast was great each day. We had the traditional Irish breakfast which was delicious and, of course, our tea was piping hot each morning. We had dinner in the restaurant which was also delicious. My friend had the steak which she said was fantastic - one of the best meals she'd ever had. And when it came to dessert, they were so kind in bringing us our favorite - some brown bread - to go with our tea.
Carol, the owner, was very nice and provided us with driving directions when we were going out. She was very kind and helpful and gave great directions too!
I would highly recommend Cullinan's Restaurant and Guesthouse for anyone staying in Doolin. The accommodations, the food and the owners, made it a great place to stay.

Room Tip: The rooms in the front of the building face the road, and while you could hear some of the muffled n...

When our reservation got mixed up and our hotel was overbooked, we snagged the last room at Cullinan's across the street. I heard B&B's were the way to go but was skeptical. Needless to say, our stay here was perfect. Carol was very welcoming and went out of her way to help coordinate our trip. The buttermilk pancakes at breakfast were delicious and the house was well maintained and decorated. Would recommend staying here on your trip toDoolin. Go visit the cliffs and have the fish and chips and enjoy the music at O'Conners.
