Our stay with Danny and Mairead was so much fun. The rooms were modern, clean and comfortable, breakfast delicious. ThIs B&B is just a few seconds walk off the main street of Doolin, very convenient - yet quiet. The breakfast room looked out onto the most beautiful green hills - magnificent! Very reasonable price. If we return to Doolin it will be to stay with Danny and Mairead again.

We spent one night here and had belly aches from laughing with Danny and Mairead. Lovely realxing view, garden well maintained. Breakfast was lovely, place clean - overall an enjoyable stay. Great value for money too.

You ARE some character, Danny! The Gaelic or the Celt in you, I'm not sure, but you sure fit the all-time funniest Gaul I have ever known, Obélix - see Astérix le Gaulois for details - you must've hauled your share of dolmens in your ancestry, somewhere. You have indeed the sure-footed awkwardness of the lovably goofy Obélix, Mr Guérin, and we all loved your humor - coarse and not - and your generous breakfast.

So tell me, Danny O'bélix Guérin, how does it feel going from hauling dolmens - or menhirs, or obelisks, for that matter - to raking these cute little pebbles into neatly arranged patterns to build your lovely terrace (see picture below)? Brings you down to earth, does it? A lovely area you built, I reckon!

In all, thank you for your hospitality and your infectious way of keeping us twisted with laughter. You are the quintessentially True Irishman - wherein truth can become a negotiable commodity, of course, to be blended in various proportions with just your gift of gab!

Cheers from your New York fans!

The warmest of welcomes awaits you upon your arrival. This family run B&B was one of the best I have ever stayed at. Doolin is an amazing place to visit and you are in a prime location to do various acivities like golf, pitch & putt, fishing, caving, walking, cycling, horse riding, surfing, scuba diving, canoeing and bird watching. I enjoyed heading off to see the Cliffs of Moher too! Mairead and Danny keep the house in immaculate condition, very clean and comfortable. The location is very peaceful and the local pub 2 minutes away has almighty craic in it! To sum it up, I highly recommend the FIsherman's Rest and the breakfast is second to none, I look forward to a return visit in the near future!

We were weary travellers greeted with a warm welcome by Danny who was doing yardwork in his amazing yard.. Danny is a
Character! He is just wonderful! We couldn't have felt more at home.

Fantastic pub and the ferry landing to the Aran islands is within walking distance.

Danny made us a lovely Irish breakfast to get us started for our day of adventure.

Can't wait to return
