Took a trip from Inish Mor to Doolin. Bought a ticket days ahead of time.. Should take about an hour. The boat was to arrive at 11:30am and it was late, 3/4 hour late. It then took us to the small island and left us there to wait for another ferry. Very sunny no shade to protect ourselves and got quite burned. The ferry was late. It was an old stinky boat. Finally made it to Doolin at 3:15. This is not what I paid £17. for. The sad thing was a mother and son from USA that were only in Ireland for a week were supose to visit family and then drive to Kilarney. This would make a very late night for them, I heard to late that this company was poor to make changes to my plans. The staff that were the crew were great and it is sad that the company is not in the service to make happy customers that will be repeat customers. Lorraine Lalonde from Powell River Canada

yesterday july 1st 2014 my family and i used o briens cruise to go to the aran islands and to see the cliffs of moher...the staff were incredibly friendly and had us running to get the early ferry which was a great surprise and we thought we had an hours wait for the 11 am ! the crossing was smooth and getting off the boat was done with ease. the island itself well it speaks for itself it was an amazing day out and again we got the boat home at 5.15pm ....there was a crowd on the pier, but there was no overloading and some had to wait for another boat to return for them . a great service and customer care ..well done o brien line ..we will be back!!

We did the one hour cruise to the cliffs of Moher on Sunday at 12pm. There were 28 of us in total with a mix of adults and kids. We were advised to turn up at 11:30 which we did. At 12pm, they started loading people on to a smaller boat so that they could be transported out to the bigger boat that couldn't get into the pier because the tide was out. The smaller boat could only take 12 people at a time so it was 12:35 before everyone was on board and we were ready to go. The actual tour is nice but there is no commentary or anything. You do get quite close to the cliffs and then the boat turns around again. When we got back to the pier it was the same story with being transported on to the smaller boat to get back on to land. Again, it took another 40 mins to get off the boat. What annoyed me most was the lack of any co-ordination on the boat from the crew with people crowding and pushing to try and get off the boat first and filling up the area to an uncomfortable level. Manners & curtesy went out the window with an every man for himself attitude with some people. Then when the small boat arrived, it brought 12 more people ready for the next tour who had to squeeze past the people trying to get off. It was ridiculous but yet could have been helped by the staff keeping the people on the boat back from the boarding area and maintaining a queue that should only come from one direction and work back through the boat instead of people coming from 3 directions (upstairs & 2 doors from the inside of the boat). Our crowd of 28 people had 5 children under 5, a person with very limited mobility and a heavily pregnant woman but no consideration was given what so ever with some of the tourists practically knocking the kids over trying to get passed. There were about 5 crew on board but Not one of them did anything to help the situation what so ever. What should have been a pleasant 1 hour trip took 2 hours and 20 mins (not including the half hour we had to turn up early) and the boarding process took the whole good out of the tour completely, I would definitely NOT recommend this trip to anyone and O Brienline definitely need to address the boarding situation. I will add that I had no problem booking and that the staff responded promptly and efficiently to my queries prior to arrival.

Booked tickets through Groupon. We have 3 kids all under 6 so they were free anyway so that always helps. Got there at 11.50 boat left just after 12. Health and safety wouldn't be a priority as previous reviews have stated. Only because it was such a beautiful and hot day and there was no breeze water was really calm otherwise we wouldn't get on. It could do with some commentary on board I'm sure they could pre record something. Safety lights in covered seating area need attention one was dangling from ceiling. Could do with washing windows too... cliffs are amazing really beautiful kids loved the trip 5 yr old 3 yr old and 9 month old. Coming back water levels were going down so it was very up in the air whether they could dock the boat or not.skippers skills at docking could do with some practice he slammed boat off the wall twice... found staff at reception very nice . Nothing overly amazing but to be honest I wasn't expecting it to be.

We took the Cliffs of Moher trip and it was spectacular! Ship and crew were excellent and commentary was wonderful and so educational. Highly recommend it. We took a late afternoon jaunt and it was the perfect ending to the day!
